How about some build pics? This one still needs sanding and polishing. Thinking about a run of Halloween inspired handles in October…

I don't recall if you have shown us pictures, but I would be interested to see from how a blank is made, getting it to the point where you put it on the lathe. What goes in the pressure pot, what happens to those cups of paint pictured with the popsicle sticks.

It does not have to be pictures, you could narrate a video, with cool music, and neat graphics, as well as a stand out supporting cast.

Hey Eric. Ya, at some point it would be fun to share the front-end process. There’s actually a lot that goes into it before the lathe ever gets fired up. Such as:

Resin mixing, lots of stirring, stinky fumes, more stirring, dyes, cylinder mold prep, pouring techniques, dangerous pressure pots, curing… oh, and the dreaded clean-up (my least favorite part).

I’ll have to muster up the energy for that production! However, maybe I can do a simplified version of it on Instagram Live one of these days. Perhaps we can set a day/time for folks here to join in? For whatever reason, the video quality of my YouTube videos never seem to turn out well. Might be my shop lights or the fact I duct taped the iPhone to a step ladder Wink
