Eighteen days total in transit, order to doorstep (not bad from Siberia, especially in these times), will be interested to see the performance of the SS (107.5g) vs the Ti (59.5g).  Impressed as before with the fit, finish, and presentation of these razors.  We'll done Sergey!  Few pics:

Have you tried interchanging the SS and Ti parts?
While I LOVE the Ti version, I was looking forward to see if I could get the SS and create
a hybrid of sorts...my ideal razor weight is around 80-90gm. Would have to get the polished
SS to match my high polish Ti.

Ive never had grip problems on the polished Ti due to its light weight.

I am far more careful with the Sailor, which has minimal knurling...largely due to its weight.

I agree that both Taiga Ti and Sailor 21 MC are grail razors. Both deliver such enjoyable shaves
and feel so good in the hand. And between them they cover just about any level of efficiency or face feel I can
think of.

Ive all but abandoned my Wolfman 1.55 Ti and may have to move it along if things carry on this way.

Haven't tried interchanging parts because I suspected that the top cap/mid-plate/base were indexed because they were individually fitted, but it might work.  Each razor independently is just about perfect though, for me (finish and weight aside).  I've since received the matte Ti Taiga, and it may be the best of possible worlds - the matte finish provides a positive grip, stiffer spring on it, and the engraved adjustment numbers won't wear like the paint-filled polish.  Also a gram heavier (60.5g) - I'm really liking it...

Cross-post, but my assessment of the matte:

Wow. Fantastic shave with the matte Titanium Taiga - VERY much improved grip over the polished version. No need for dry hands, and just a gram heavier (60.5g) than my polished Ti Taiga, resulting in superb handling. I really like this finish – the engraved adjustment numbers are WAY better than the paint-filled engraved numbers on the polished Ti (about half of which have started to flake out in less than a year – poor material choice for polished Titanium, but still visible and I’ll just let the rest fall out eventually, leaving polished engraving). Matched up well with a Personna blade, next up will be a Feather to compare with what I usually use in the polished Taiga. As far as drag with the matte version, yes, more than the polished Ti – but nothing unusual or unacceptable, and very comparable to any of my other matte razors (Muramasa, Masamune, iKon, ATT) – it actually glides well with a cushiony soap. My Rex in fact is my only “draggy” razor (machined finish similar to matte but somehow almost sticky), and even that is acceptable if you pay attention. I’m impressed with both the quality and performance – it does have a stiffer original spring than the polished version (you can easily change out any of these), and the adjustment dial (because, Titanium) is a little “gritty” on first use. My experience with threaded Titanium is that you need to a) lubricate it and b) operate it over a few weeks and remove any machining friction dust and debris periodically as you use it (and lubricate it some more) before it smooths out completely. The super-hard Titanium on wear surfaces takes some time to polish in before it smooths out – in fact same applied for the polished variety. My polished SS Taiga on the other hand was immediately dialed-in and butter smooth (still gets mineral oil on the threads). Different materials, different operation. I can highly recommend this razor and HLS – quality design, fit and finish, equaled by performance. And it took 8 days total transit from southwestern Siberia to the geographic center of the US and my front door! I’m impressed.

EMS. I ordered mine Dec 28 and it got to my house in NY 9 days later.

My last order took 2 months so spending 20 this time for EMS was easy for me.

I tried EMS and it worked about to $45 or so on my PayPal invoice
Wasn't impressed...it took a while to get to me in Asia.
Next time I'll be choosing the slow boat fm Vladivostok

BTW the customised spring I had made in 316SS provides optimum stiffness...
the length is 12.7mm and it has 5 rolls
