has landed! Eighteen days total in transit, order to doorstep (not bad from Siberia, especially in these times), will be interested to see the performance of the SS (107.5g) vs the Ti (59.5g).  Impressed as before with the fit, finish, and presentation of these razors.  We'll done Sergey!  Few pics:

Shakedown cruise with the polished SS Taiga – Rawr and Personna.  First impressions – outstanding polish on this razor (dare I say Wolfman? ).  I debated on the matte or polished, and I’m very glad I ordered the polished version – both have advantages/disadvantages, but I prefer the polished look.  I thought the tradeoff would be the grip and handling, but actually the knurling is either cut deeper or sharper than the Titanium Taiga (which actually is, shall we say, somewhat deficient in the grip department - I might even be tempted sometime to try the matte Titanium just to try the grip), so handling over the Ti Taiga is actually improved in spite of the heavier weight.  Speaking of weight, 107.5g on the SS version and 59.5 on the Ti version, and I think the weight on the SS actually improves efficiency somewhat.  Both are superb adjustables, and at this point I’m not sure which I prefer.  I do like the engraving on the SS version better – harder to see, but nothing is coming off this razor (unlike the steady wear of the painted-on numbers of the polished Ti – in fact I’ve already removed the paint fill-in from the cap/base index just to make the appearance uniform after the paint fell out of the “H” on the cap). The spring on the SS is noticeable stiffer (and they sent a spare), and the adjustment more solid and actually smoother (I suspect the difference in materials since the threads on the Ti version are not as soft as stainless), and – attention to detail – the cut ends of the spring are polished smooth as well.  Very nice touch.  I like the weight of the Titanium, in the sense that I can drop in a Feather blade and it soars like a swallow over a lake with zero effort or pressure, and is probably my most maneuverable razor.  Overall, still very impressed with HLS and their products and will continue to be a repeat customer.

I owned the polish version but i prefer this one.
More grip and i have the sensation , maybe false impression, hes more heavy ( i like that ) .And the manufacturing and building seem more strong. But only a subjective impression.

The Taiga razor has a conditionally positive blade exposure
And to be precise it is +0.028 mm

I know what blade exposure means and what positive blade exposure means, but I have no idea what a conditionally positive blade exposure is.

Could you explain this please?

Quick question for those who have had the opportunity to use a polished Taiga and the new satin (bead blasted) one, either in SS or Ti…
Does the satin Taiga glide as easily as the polished version? Or is there any “dragging” feeling on the face because of the satin finish?

Ive had both finishes in TI. The polished version glides a little better, but the major improvement in grip with the satin makes satin the winner for me. Still a very smooth razor.

No “dragging” whatsoever with any of my matte finish razors.

The Newcomer has arrived! Outstanding!!
The finish on this Titanium Taiga is really world class! Pictures on Homelike Shaving website doesn’t do the razor justice. I really like the new spaced out knurling, it gives it a sure grip. The spring compared to version 1 is much stiffer, which I really like. The tolerances are very very tight, think Wolfman. I’m so happy I took a gamble on the matte Titanium as I am more of a polished razor type of guy. This razor oozes premium & luxury. Took 10 days for it to be delivered here in US, with the cheapest shipping option selected. Also I may add that it was shipped very well protected. The Ti Taiga is very easy to take apart and clean-up. Plus the finish allows maintenance free compared to my mirror polished Wolfman which can show any micro scratch if you look at it the wrong way.
This razor is so much lighter compared my other stainless steel ajustables such as Muramasa or Sailor 21. My favorite part is the shave ….

The Taiga is my favorite adjustable razor. The shaves I received from this razor has been nothing short of amazing and spectacular -which is to say buttery smooth and nicely efficient. Mine is the SS version and I am looking forward and awaiting for my TI to arrive. I was originally planning to get the polished version but was hesitant when it was released. Then when I wanted it, I missed out as it was sold out. When the brushed finish came out, I had to have it because it looks quite attractive.
