Earlier today when I was talking to Eugene from Home Like Shaving he sent me this little tidbit about the new titanium Taiga which makes me think it will be around $400. Maybe not but this is very interesting if you understand what he is saying.

“Yes, titanium in Russia is very expensive and difficult to buy, so the price will be more expensive, it will also be equipped with a stand and we plan to make stone inserts in the handle, there are points in the adjustment places, we plan to insert jewelry stones in them”

Now, the SS Taiga costs 15000 Ruble ($210) with both plates,
If he can sell well polished Ti SB Adjustable around $350, it's gonna be winner.
The Taiga is listed at $250

You are paying Ruble. In couple of months, exchange rate was changed significantly.
I also highly recommend turn off Paypal currency converter.

By the way, this little tidbit is only about the upcoming all titanium version.

Let's see how razor looks like, and what he will announce the price.
It is pretty exciting, it will be the first Ti Adjustable razor.

Not sure I’m particularly keen on the jewellery stone inserts... I’d probably pass on it....
And not only because it might make it more expensive, but also I think I’d prefer just a simple, well polished all Titanium razor.

But, as previously mentioned, we’ll just have to wait until it comes out to see exactly what it looks like, and the price.

Yeah, $400 for a Ti adjustable is not an issue (for me), but when we start getting above $300, in my demanding mind, it needs to be exactly what I want. Bling-bling in the handle is not that. Who knows though, maybe it'll be done in such a way that it changes my mind.

I had stayed away from the online shaving community for 2 years until coming back around last holiday season specifically due to the Taiga, so I'm fine letting this play out before voicing any criticisms. As an American, it is my birthright to b***h & moan about something I haven't even bought, so I'm here for that! hahahahaha

Thanks for the info, I love my Taiga and I'm looking forward to the titanium version provided:
- parts are interchangeable with the SS version so I can create a frankenstein Taiga with the balance I'm looking for (it's very head heavy)
- there is an OC plate, the one on the SS model is at the same time smoother and more efficient than the SB
- the 3 dots to align the plates are engraved, the ones on the SS version are fading and will soon disappear

Has anyone heard or seen anything new about when we will see more taiga ss and or the titanium?
I hope it is soon.
