Just a quick heads up, I have ALI 's information for shipping and will pack everything up tomorrow after sanitizing and I should be able to get it in the PO system so it can start shipping and moving forward with the USPS. I will postpone my last video till tomorrow, a couple things came up today and tomorrow will work better for me. I will have more accurate info on the pricing of the razor in my last review and will be using the 1.50 CC and possibly another base plate. Chat with you all soon and have a good weekend!

I think they are calling the production version of this razor the Colibri. Gopneg can correct me if I am wrong. If I am correct, it also looks like it's a better deal than you postulated in your video; price appears to be $85 for the version you are using.

this is true. razor is called hummingbird if its name is translated into English, but it is originally Colibri
this is such a very small bird that feeds on the nectar of flowers.
The razor is so named because it is small in size relative to other razors.
You're also right a second time. razor with one support plate costs $85 (cover, plate and handle)

Thank you both kingfisher and Gopneg, I tried to give a general idea of the price as I didn't successfully figure the site and exchange rate minus the shipping so I was bound to be a bit off. I still think it's a good deal and plan to purchase some hardware so that let's you know something went right from my experience. Thanks for the clarification. Homelikeshaving Vadim seems like a nice vendor to purchase from. Seems to have great options available so I give him my support.

The razor has been sent to ALI which just to be clear, he is "Ali_R" which is the name listed in the earlier posts. He changed his name so nobody is left scratching their head. I threw in some Wizamet blades and some red pack Israeli Personna blades. They worked well for me in this razor and many people seem to be after the Wizamets so I threw in a 10 pack for people to pick at. One last thing, GlazedBoker has a pic in the thread earlier where he is sanitizing the razor parts in a plastic tupperware bin. Normally this is what I do but I wasn't totally thinking and put all the pieces in a bowl. Have ceramic pots everywhere at my place and used it to sanitize the parts.

While scrubbing them I'm not sure if I can tell if I saw a bit of marking on some of the pieces. I towel dried and used a microfiber to polish up everything before packing up. Anyways, I want to say that I think using the tupperware bowl to soak and sanitize is a better way to go and hopefully I didn't add to the initial markings. If so, I apologize to everyone as I think the finish/polish is pretty good and wouldn't want to take away from what someone would think of a possible production unit. GlazedBoker I looked at a couple of your pictures and it looks pretty similar with high polish but with some scuff marks so I don't know if I am being overreactive. I think it is better to admit a screwup and if it seems like action is needed, I am happy to oblige. The razor should be arriving to Ali on Friday. Chat with you all soon

Razor is cleaned and safely packed and will mailed off to my friend LOOT  tomorrow morning.

This is an excellent razor kit. I enjoyed using at and after 3 shaves I can categorically recommend it. Some remarks:

• the handle is about 90mm long - which is a great length for me. It has horizontal type knurling which I found to be very comfortable and grippy. 
  
• The razor is well-balanced, neither head or handle heavy.
  
• Aesthetically, the razor is very well designed and polished.
  
• The head is very slim and also relatively narrow. In fact, the blade tabs are quite exposed, more so than I’ve seen on any razor I’ve used to date. That said, it posed zero problems and even while shaving across the grain under the nose, there were no problems.
  
• There are 5 base plates in the box, including 0.8mm, 1.3mm and 1.5mm solid bars. There are also 2 open combs. As a general matter, open combs are not my favorite (nothing to do with this razor) so I tried them briefly but did not experiment with them too much. I shaved with the 3 solid bars once and found them all to be excellent shavers.
  
• The shaves were all very comfortable and resulted in long-lasting BBS (12+ hours). 
  
• Shaving against the grain (a razor litmus test for me) was extremely comfortable. 
  
• The razor resulted in almost no alum burn. There was a very minimal amount of burn on the 1.5mm gap but virtually none on the other lower gapped base plates. 
  

I just acquired a Homelike Start kit and it was delivered to me from Russia last week. I’ve shaved with it a few times and I have also found it to be an excellent, first-rate razor. Homelikeshaving  Homelike  definitely know what they are doing - they are total pros.

How would I compare the Start and the Hummingbird? I agree with rawfox1 . They are both first rate but I’m not sure they are different enough to purchase both. I would also say the Start is smoother - probably the smoothest razor I’ve ever used (including the Tatara). If you like a slimmer or thinner profile head or like exposed blade tabs, this would be a good one. Also the blade gap on the Hummingbird goes up to 1.5 (vs. 1.18 on the Start), so the top plate may be more aggressive on the Hummingbird.

First shave with the Hummingbird prototype is in the books. I have not read anything about this razor since I signed up in this thread.

I had 3 days growth and went with the 1.3mm OC plate. The teeth feel good on the skin, blade feel is moderate, and is very comfortable. I told a friend post shave it reminded me a lot of a WR1 .86OC and I guessed the shave would last 8-10 hours. I'm 8 hours post shave and am barely noticing regrowth on small patches on my face. The Hummingbird 1.30OC is moderately efficient and a pleasure to use. Its not mindless but not threatening either.

I didnt measure the handle but it has a small dia. 12-13mm maybe. I assumed I'd not like it but was pleasantly surprised. It pairs well with the light head and balances nicely.

I had no complaints with today's shave at all. It was a pleasure and I was able to really settle in and just enjoy the performance. Excellent first impression it made.

Im looking forward to the 1.50SB is a couple days.

I didnt break out scales and calipers but I certainly can if anyone has questions...and the info is not readily available prior in the thread.
