Today, I ran the 1.50mm SB on 3 days growth. As mentioned before, this head reminds me a lot of a WR1. .94mm is the WR1 head's limit as there apparently is not enough material left for a guard. I've lamented this about 2 years now. No more.

I'm now 6 hours post shave and my skin is still a soft as it was when I finished. Im sure the BBS will last 6-8 more hours. I rarely shave in silence anymore but did today and the audible feedback is superb. Less blade feel, to me, than the 1.30mm OC plate. I also expected it to be smoother than the OC plate and I'm pretty sure it is, which is really saying a lot.

The 1.50mm Hummingbird, with little exception, is the head I longed for in a 1.0mm+ WR1. The only "con" for me is the width of the head is a little nardown. The blade tabs stick out a good 1/16" from the head. I am prone to really locking a handle down. Upon disassembly of the razor, I pinch the tabs to remove the handle. Too much tab protrusion is a little uncomfortable, for me. It's a trivial point, I spose.

Homelikeshaving has a superb head in either OC or SB plates. Excellent job, kudos. Its a fantastic offering, one I will keep an eye on. Thanks so much for the passaround.[Image: 250a6aebcbc12247529d22c62a4238b4.jpg]

I bought this razor with the 1.50 and 1.30 SB plates. The shave has been great but if there was a singular negative it would be the exposed blade tabs. I have scraped the side of my nose a couple of times but didn’t draw blood or break the skin. Just a little uncomfortable. Other than that, this is a great razor.

The 1.50mm SB shave wound up lasting 17 hours. Pretty impressive.

It’s been nearly 2 weeks since the last review. Where is the razor now?
