I got held up in security. The guy with the rubber glove was surprisingly gentle.

Thanks for the welcome, Mickey!
I'm not always an optimist, there are times when reality is dark and it doesn't do any good to pretend. But in general I do try to see the best in everyone, or at least give people the benefit of the doubt. I hope folks do the same for me!
I also find it helps to use lots of exclamation points to convey an overall tone of enthusiasm and positivity! Yay!

This forum has been recommended to me by a number of folks that I respect, including one of my best soap testers Matsilainen.
I was also pleased to meet andrewjs18 in person at the NYC Wet Shavers Expo last month, albeit far too briefly.
I've been browsing some threads here and already see a few familiar names, but plenty of new folks as well! Looking forward to jumping in!
hi Ben,
thanks for signing up. it was great seeing you too, I'm trying to make it out to more events!
I just started using the almond bath soap you were selling at the NYC event last week. I like it a bit, it glides easier on the skin than most other artisan soaps I use...I'm not sure what it is, but I find that some take a few uses before they'll glide easily - yours worked great right out of the box.
