Hi DFS

Hi,

My name is Eric. I’m from Long Island, NY. I started wet shaving in 2015. Have been playing with different brushes and soaps from the get go, but only fell deep into razors last spring and started participating in forums (rather than just visiting and learning from the discussions) even more recently. Excited to be here!

Oh I forgot to talk about my gear and such. I have been using DE razors. Starting with a Mühle R89. Now I’ve got about 20 razors of different types, both vintage and new. My top 5 at the moment are Seygus Zeppelin, Timeless SS 95 Scalloped, Razorock Wunderbar, H&S N095, and my Gillette Senator. Mostly just use either German Wilkinson Sword or Nacets for my blades.

For brushes, I own about 20 brushes as well. They are mostly Simpsons with a Paladin, Morris and Forndran, Rudy Vey, and 2 PAA thrown in for some variety. Top 3 brushes at the moment are Simpsons Emperor 3 SiLVERTiP, Simpsons Duke 3 SiLVERTiP, and PAA Atomic Rocket.

mrdoug Freddy Thanks for the warm welcome. The brushes have cost me some money over the years. The razors are a mixture of bought new, ones I’ve gotten lucky with BST, patient hunting around on an auction site, and one came from a charity raffle. Certainly not a cheap hobby, but cheaper than my love of fancy fountain pens, and light years away from the costs my friends who are into wristwatches run up!
