Henson Al or Ti

Certainly one's technique has to be adjusted.  It helps to be a bit more assertive with an aluminum razor.  Each stroke should be short and well-controlled.  That assertiveness makes up for the lack of weight and lets all the control be in your hand, not gravity.  I like it both ways, but it does take a different technique. 

I don't much like very heavy razors, once they get above 120g, then I have to work to offset that weight.

I agree that anything over 120 grams is getting pretty heavy. I do have one Parker 98R Super Heavyweight razor at 121 grams, but I have not used it in years.  Most of my brass and stainless razors are between 95 - 110 grams. In contrast, my Timeless TI razors weigh in at 67 grams. 

The Henson Titanium is about 76 grams, just slightly heaver than my Timeless Ti. The Henson Aluminum, however, is only 37 grams, about half the weight of the titanium version. The aluminum version is so light that you have to control the pressure manually. If you have the manual dexterity of a surgeon, that might be great, but I would rather let gravity do the work. My arthritic fingers no longer have the dexterity of youth.
