Hi All,

I've been working with Joe from Black Mountain Shaving for a few months now on a few scent blends and have finally landed on 1 that I gave him the nod to move forward with.

I'm horrible with names so I'm looking for all of your help! I'll post the scent notes below. Whoever can come up with the winning name will win a shaving soap and aftershave set, once they're being produced. Murphy & McNeil will be producing the products.

Top
Lavender, bergamot, lemon, ginger, mandarin orange, tangerine, basil, rosewood

Middle
Honey, Cinnamon (synthetic), cashmere, jasmine sambac, Haitian vetiver, sandalwood, iris, carnation, patchouli, cedar

Base
Leather, amber, labdanum, benzoin, oak moss, musk, tobacco, tonka, bourbon vanilla

Thanks!

I don't think that'll do it!

Living on the edge
I think it's near impossible to distill all those notes into single name that captures
a scent or fragrance. So, rather than focus on smell, why not look for a name that
captures what DFS represents as a collective?

That's probably more fertile territory.

Names around Brotherhood, Camelot, Clan, Gentleman's Guild...that sort of vibe.
These are mere thought starters...probably a lot better names out there in this vein.

How about something simple, such as Comfort?

How about instead of a long laundry list of scents in it and no idea of amounts, a general vibe of what the overall scent smells like to narrow down name ideas. What it actually smells like should guide the naming of it

A True Yo-Yo
Just a few ideas off the top of my head -  I'll bring more later:

1. Impeccable

2. Arete - The arete of something is the highest quality state it can reach. Using arete as a principle for living life means that you are focused on the quality of everything you do and experience.

3. Grey Velvet - Some of the scent notes are reminiscent of Grey Flannel

4. Well-Bred Gentleman
