Hello Gents!

New to the forum and relatively new to wet shaving..., started January 14. I was a long time sufferer of razor burn on my neck, but then thanks to Andrew and others, discovered the wonderful world of shaving with a safety razor. My face healed and I haven't looked back. I told myself that it wasn't going to become a hobby..., but I think that I'm addicted. Big Grin

My daily driver is an Edwin Jagger DE89 with either Feathers or Astra Superior Platinum blades. I also have a Parker 26C open comb and a Merkur Futur that I received as a gift from my parents. I have only one brush right now, and that's the Edwin Jagger Silver Tip badger..., I think that it is a fantastic value as far as silver tips go. In the 9 months that I've been using it, I can count on one hand how many hairs that it has lost.

For my shaving bowl I use a Dirty Bird Pottery Bill Bowl. It is designed specifically to whip up a thick, rich lather while fitting comfortably in the palm of your hand.

As far as the hobby goes, I recently picked up a Christy SE razor and a Rolls Razor. I plan on maintaining the Christy as is, since it comes with all of the paperwork and an unused package of blades..., and it still has shaving cream on it as if the gentleman who last used it simply put it away one day and that was that. I plan on having the Rolls fully restored.

Outside of shaving, I'm into cars, backpacking and guns.

I look forward to seeing what this forum becomes!

Justin
