Hello everyone, my name is Will Lawhorn, I am a Firefighter/EMT from GA. Obviously my occupation has strict grooming standards, so I turned to DE shaving after horrible results from cartridge razors and commercially available creams. I am thoroughly enjoying my experience. Looking forward to all the awesome experience and insight from the forum.

My current razor is a Merkur 34c, coming from a VDH TTO model that was not horrible, but not like the Merkur at all. I'm actually looking at purchasing an Ikon 102, as I want to try a slant, but I don't want to drop $250 on a RR stealth slant before I decide if I like slants or not.

My favorite brush that I use every day is a Whipped Dog 24mm silvertip. I love it, especially for the price. I am looking into another brush too, (see a pattern here) possibly a 30mm whipped dog.

I love/hate feather blades. I am actually looking into polsilvers and silver blues to try something new. I tried lab blues and they were not sharp enough to me, which I need to revisit now that I have some really good soaps and have improved my lathering technique.

Soaps are my fastest growing collection, primarily because I'm looking for other options. I absolutely love the D R Harris Windsor scent, but there are definitely soaps that perform better. RR Son of Zeus is my current go to. I also like the B&M Cheshire. I have some Tabac soap and some strop shoppe on the way. Now my other thread is growing a nice list for me to work on!!!

Finally, I use the D R Harris aftershave milk in Windsor as my posts shave. I'm trying some new aftershaves too including Fine, Lucky Tiger, and some others. Looking to try some PAA and maybe just a good ol' alum block to see how that goes.

All that being said, I have never been so interested in shaving before. I actually look forward to it, especially since I've got all this new stuff in the mail and I'm about to die to try it all.

Great assortment of gear! I have Whipped Dog 30mm synthetic that I heartily recommend if you want to try a synthetic and Larry is a real pleasure to work with as well!

The 102's are a little difficult to find but I did make another post that Shave Nation had (3) in stock and iKon has had intermittent stock lately as well.

Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing-
