I agree exceptionally well balanced is a perfect way to describe it. For the times I don’t want to think about building a lather but want all the stellar qualities of a great lather I reach for CE.

David, I just finished reading this entire thread. Ordered Calm and Citrus Wood. Looking forward to trying these out.

I just received my order yesterday. Thank you. Initial scents are very nice. Light and not overwhelming. I will be trying tomorrow. My wife likes the Calm and maybe adding that to her regimen.

So did my first shave with Cutting Edge Soap. Product showed up yesterday and decided to use the Citrus Wood for my first shave.

I lathered my Zenith Badger as usual semi dry (shaken) and ran across the soap for about 20 seconds. Into the scuttle and added small amounts of water from the sink with the faucet
on low until I had a good creamy lather.

I was able to get 4 passes, with the grain, across, against and then again with the grain.

The slickness and cushion that everyone commented on was great. My face feels soft and smooth after shaving.  My cartridge is the Feather MR3 and I am on the 10th or 11th shave with it and had not shaved for 3 days, so I stacked a lot against this. I have to say this is going to be pretty tough to beat.
Thank you David, I am going to enjoy this new soap and Looking forward to trying calm. As a side note, my wife has come back for additional sniffs of the scent which is light and not overpowering.

Really glad that you're enjoying the soap.  If you have any questions or need anything please feel free to reach out.

Looking forward to hearing what you think of Calm. It seems to be one that most people really enjoy. I know it's a favorite of mine.

Thank you David. I am enjoying both of these great soaps. With very little effort I can get enough lather that can provide 3-4 passes and leave enough to "wash my face" with it. The after shae feeling is moist without being oily and my wife enjoys both the "clean" scent of the calm and the Cutrus Wood is just as appealing to her.
Keep up the great work and I hope that you have continued success.

Did the soap base update?  Ingredients on the website don’t match the tub I own.  Interested to hear what may have changed on an already elite soap base.

And the three main functionals are after Vit.E.
As to say, in homeopatic dosage!!!

Hope substance is better than form. Wink
