Hi everyone !

I have been wet shaving with double edges, and straight edge razors for about 2 1/2 years now. I have mostly vintage Gillette razors, vintage Gem single-edge razors, with assorted Merkurs, and Edwin Jaggers also.

My question is this...how are the modern razors that are imported from India, and Asia? I like the offerings from Parker and Pearl, but I don't know much about them.

Thank you, and have a great weekend !

Robert, it is so good to have you here at DFS; welcome! Smile

There are so many new razors coming out, and not just from India/Asia, so may I suggest that you see what is currently availavble.  Here is an interesting thread: http://damnfineshave.com/thread-rocnel-se-review. This may or may not be for you, so read it through, but see what you think.  By today's cost standards, the price is certainly right, even with a $12.00 shipping charge.  I am not sure what to expect but just pre-ordered one, myself.

Hi Robert M Kain III and welcome to DFS! I don't have a Parker or Pearl branded razor but do own at least one from a vendor who outsources a Parker open comb head. The finish is average to average + but I do very much like the shave. Efficient, good face feel and the price is right. It's a great time to be a wet shaver and there are a ton of good choices in HW and SW.
