Hi,
My name's Dave, and I'm a shaving addict (Hi Dave.) This is going into my second year of saving boatloads of cash not buying cartridge razors. Unfortunately those boatloads have been re-purposed to buying new and vintage razors, and multitudes of shave soaps. So, I guess like many of you here, I've wound up spending quite a bit more on shaving, but I'm having a heck of a lot more fun doing it. I've gone so far as looking forward to my shaves, whereas before I loathed it. So pluses all around since I started. Except the whole money thing, still haven't figured out a way around that yet...

Anyway, seems like a very cool bunch of people here, and I look forward to contributing and enabling every chance I get!

Hi Dave, and welcome! Sounds about like me- used to hate shaving and would skip as often as possible, never on the weekends. Now it is definitely something I look forward to and a great way to start the day.

As an FYI, Soap Commander is an artisan based in Alabama. If you haven't tried their soaps, definitely a must have IMHO.

Welcome again and look forward to hearing more about your gear.

Yep, just got in some Respect shave and bath soap yesterday as a matter of fact. Darren and Carrie are great people.

welcome to the forum.

I was in a similar boat as you...I absolutely hated shaving before. I still hate shaving as I find it to be a chore, but it is more enjoyable. I compromised by having a beard for the past 1-2 years now and only shave below my beard line on my neck. Big Grin

Hello and welcome!

There is a meet up happening in Huntsville on March 19. The last one was quite a good time!

May have to try and get up to that. I saw some pics from the last one, and it did look like everyone had fun.
