a razor with a pivoting head is just easier to use on the head, IMHO.  this is why I'm excited to try the leaf razor that has a pivoting head that'll allow us to use DE blades that get snapped in half.  I hope it works as well as its been advertised.
I saw that a long time ago. Not available yet?

I think they're going to start shipping soon...it was a kickstarter thing, I believe.

the owner is going to send me one to try and pass around the forum to get feedback from the community. once I get it, I can certainly send it over to you to try if you'd like.

edit: i bought mine at a walgreens about a year ago. they don't seem to have it on their website (i searched for tea tree aftershave). i also googled for the upc code and got some random results. i'm guessing they may have renamed it or reformulated it.

shaved my head with a gillette mach 3 for the first time 2 days ago and must say that it was quite nice and I had 0 blood. it took me a few minutes to get use to it as the head of the razor lays flatter than the other cartridges I've tried over the past few months while shaving my head.

I think I figured out where my bumps and/or folliculitis might be coming from. I have sleep apnea so I wear a cpap mask. I think the headgear for my nasal mask is causing skin irritation when it rubs against my skin overnight, while I sleep. there's a lady who makes padded covers for the headgear - I'm going to reach out to her tomorrow to see if she can make one for me.

i also sleep w a cpap. i have noticed that the head gear will give me acne sometimes; i assume from the spongey material making my skin sweat and such. as far as head coverings, you might try a cycle shop and look for a full head balaclava type covering, there are some that are a thin cottony material on top and have a neck shield on the bottom... probably remove the neck shield though..  (i also ride, but have not had to use any of my riding gear in the bedroom yet)

check this site out...she might make a cover for your headgear: http://padacheek.com/

she makes one for mine, but not the entire thing...so I need to call her to see if she can make one that'll cover all of the headgear.

lloydrm, so we don't clutter up the leaf shave thread. what's your favorite cartridges to shave your head with?

so far I've only tried these 4:
gillette mach 3
gillette guard
schick xtreme 3
headblade sport

my favorite of the bunch is the gillette mach 3 so far.

Andrew, I start by saying my approach to head shaving isn’t very conventional in that I tend to use 2-3 razors in each head shave. To that you have to add that I like to test things. Right now I have a wedge SE razor from a passaround over at TOST2 and while I never thought of using a Rapide on my head Yesterday I decided to donit as I opened the package. It was a great shave!! I am surprised.

With that looong deviation/intro/context description, I’ll try a couple carts I have in line and come back to you with a more complete lineup.
