Brought a soap, and then sold it on or given it away only to buy it again?

I have two,

Stirling Orange Chill, I bought this when it was Rods old animal smelling formula, I didn't get on with the scent so I sold it. I thought it had potential though as the orange bit was nice so this year I brought it in the new formula for summer and it was much better. I have actually since sold it again as I will not use it over the winter months.

Soap Commander Resolution, I bought this last year as Christmas as it was SC winter seasonal. I loved it and it reminded me of walking the dog in the cold winter months. I wouldn't have used it in the warmer months though so I sold it, only to buy it in the smaller tub this year....might keep it this time.

I did this with an unused tub of Tim's Ruby Red. It was a wonderful ruby red grapefruit smell. Definitely different than regular grapefruit. Kind of like blood orange and normal oranges. Well I traded it for some after shave (countryclub for men classic fougere). Well the scent kept haunting me. So bought it again. This time the sent strength was a tad bit stronger, but in a good way.

I did this with Barrister & Mann's Beaudelaire. I bought it in the middle of a heat wave and it just seemed to heavy for me. Once the weather started to cool off, I realized that perhaps I shouldn't have been so hasty. Now I love it.

I have revisited the odd Soap after buying, trying, not liking and trading/PIFing. I can't recall a single Soap that I enjoyed the second time around more then the first.

I'm done experimenting. If it doesn't work the first time, I probably won't buy it again.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

Can't say that I have batted the cycle either. Usually once gone, I have moved on to the latest and greatest scents, formulas, etc.

The few that I always have on hand and have subsequently purchased more than once: Mitchell's, iColoniali, Valobra. Love all three, great performance and part of my must have at all times roster.

Talk about YMMV. Rolleyes   Valobra was okay (I got a sample from someone), Mitchell's is beyond underwhelming, and I love iColoniali.  What's so great about the current state of wet shaving is all the choices; there is something for everyone. Smile

Nope! I hang on to everything, unless I'm sharing or PIFing. I'm sure my sweet, young, and lovely wishes I would get rid of some of them! She just doesn't understand! :-)
