Great review Dave. I am not sure why the handles keep getting longer. The Timeless Crown will probably be great with the head. Let us know for sure.

Thanks and will do. I'm sure it is a response to peoples wanting it is all I can guess. What I call the "Loud Minority" Big Grin I have very large hands and see no benefit to this length but that's just me and some may LOVE the length. It's impossible to make everyone happy with every aspect of these razors and I fully understand that. It is a great shave for sure.

I too am not crazy about the handle choices he has made lately and I wouldn't order one of these with the current or the all knurled handle either!! I am a fan of the handle with the bell looking end on it and if that's not available anymore. I've not heard any negative feedback on the shorter handle so why the change to such a long handle? Wasn't the bell handle on the .83 like 85mm or so?

Actually since receiving my Ti Blackbird I now hold my handle by the very end of the handle that is somewhat rounded and seem to have better control and have a tendency to not use as much or any pressure at all... I thought the bell on the end of the above handle would work basically the same.

The largest handle I am comfortable with is 95mm. Fortunately, Aji swapped handles for me when I placed my order. Also, not as scary as the blade gap would suggest. Excellent razor.

Talk to him before ordering if you want a different handle, he will also polish it for you if you don't want the matte finish, if you want the one from the picture with the bell end its the 80mm handle. He doesn't charge to swap handles but obviously charges to polish.

I personally like the 102mm handle, its not all that large and its not like you have to hold it at the end if you don't want to and since its titanium it doesn't make it heavy. I will agree that the full knurl handle looks a bit utilitarian and looks out of place. The knurling on all his handles is great though.

Soap: Hub City Friday Night Lights
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70

Bottom line is this is a beautiful razor with tight tolerance machining. It's an aggressive razor that gives a SUPER smooth shave. I thoroughly enjoyed the shaves and will perhaps get a third in before sending it to the next contestant. More thoughts in the video. BIG thanks to andrewjs18 and Aji for doing the pass around here ! Have a great day !

Forget the razor give me the coffee. All kidding aside that was an excellent video Dave. You looked like you really enjoyed this morning's shave. Thanks again for posting.
