Haircut & Shave copper razor .Macchie nere sul manico;consigli per eliminarle.

Buongiorno a tutti,
Molti di voi hanno seguito la mia lunga attesa prima di ricevere il rasoio di rame realizzato da Aji per me nonostante fossero ormai esauriti.
Ho gia' avuto modo di dire come la lunga attesa prima di ricevere il rasoio sia stata ripagata ampiamente da questo P076 che considero un vero e proprio gioiello...
Purtroppo stamattina, subito dopo essermi rasato con lo stesso, ho notato due piccole macchie nere sul manico , proprio nella parte dello stesso dove e' presente la zigrinatura per una migliore presa della mano sul manico stesso...Essendo io stesso altamente paranoico riguardo alla miglior manutenzione dei miei rasoi , ho cercato in vari modi di levarle senza successo...Escludo che si tratti di macchie di un qualsiasi tipo di tintura o colore finite per sbaglio sul rasoio.Ho pensato anche al processo di ossidazione al quale, soprattutto il rame e? soggetto...
Vi sarei estremamente grato se qualcuno di voi mi potesse dare dei consigli per lavare e migliorare la manutenzione dfi questo rasoio ,ma anche degli altri in mio possesso.
Come ho gia' detto e scritto, sono un principiante riguardo il mondo del wet shaving ed ogni consiglio che ricevero' sara' molto piu' che gradito.

The easiest way to get it looking like new is probably to find a local quality jeweler that offers a polishing service. If you want to prevent oxidation as long as possible ask if they can apply a layer of crystalline wax.

So happy you are enjoying the razor.  Am very proud to know Aji and so admire his more handmade and finished razor masterpieces.

These gents will be able to guide you through taking care of copper razors.
Copper looks wonderful, the way I understand is that they require a little bit more maintenance to keep the finish as original .
If you ever have time I would like to see pictures before vs after using a product to get rid of the spots.

Am concerned about wax or other coating causing difficulty polishing at home in future.

To my perspective, purchasing copper entails a commitment to either embracing patina or accepting ongoing regular polishing henceforth ad infinitum

A small ultrasound bath, distilled water with a little vinegar is as good as new again

The wax can provide 2 benefits, one is keeping the polished shine as long as possible. 2nd is to freeze the patina when you have it where you like it as long as possible.

I personally dont have the time to polish my razors so I bring my copper and brass ones to a jeweler I trust to have them polished and sealed with wax once or twice a year. Usually only a few minor spots even start showing oxidation by that time. If you're doing it yourself it may cause polishing to take more effort but i expect the wax is much softer than the copper its protecting.

I use brasso with a piece of cotton cloth to scrub the surface followed by a toothpaste and mild brush to massage the razor.

Lastly, use mild soap to wash off everything before I use Renaissance wax.

I used Cape Cod metal polishing cloths on all my razors. Works really well.
