I THINK the only DE razor I'd actively pursue at this point is a Ti Wolfman, but who knows if he'll ever open a list for that.  I presume he has some deep-pocketed regular patrons for whom he'll make special orders, but as someone who has never owned a Wolfman, I'll be entirely dependent on an open list to purchase.  The Tatara adjustable is interesting....and adjustables in general always have intrigued me.  But, I'm more or less "over" SS DE razors.  We'll see if some artisan produces something that changes my mind.

Meanwhile, as it sits today, the only real want I have is for Shane (Blackland) to release a true injector, hahaha.  Barring that, I can roll indefinitely with only my Vector and Z074 in my arsenal.

I’m happy with just those two razors as well. I also have the titanium Blackbird, which also intrigues me somewhat… I’m just not sure how often I will use it with the Vector and Z074 able to do everything the BB does.

Hardly a new concept (see: AS-D2 with.....Feather blades), but sharper blade with mild razor is the ticket here, I think. Tried a Permasharp I had in a drawer...really nice. Gonna buy Feathers for the first time in like 8 years and give those a shot. Oh, also should probably try the Nacets that were bundled with the Z074-ti. Forgot about those as their still in the case which I put in a storage closet.

I find the Nacets and Wizamet/Polsilver to be my favorites so far in the Z074.  Wizamet seem to work well for me in almost all razors.

Yeah, Wizamet/Polsilver are my mainstays along with GSB (the latter of which I have not yet tried with the Z074). The Wiz work just fine, but want to try something sharper, thus will likely place an order for DE Feather blades (first DE blade purchase in some time; like March 2020 when I got 250 Wiz)

Fwiw, the blade that really works the best for me in the Z074 is a Bic.  Also tried Feathers but the Bic is essentially the same sharpness but gave a smoother shave.  A Personna Red was too mild for me, as would - I’d think -  Wizamet, so your experience makes sense to me.

Thanks for the rec.  Hadn't even considered Bic...don't think I've used one before tbh.  Off to Try-a-Blade I go.

My money would be on Chrome Platinum. I haven't seen any good reviews of the Astors (but I could be wrong).

If it's the Chrome Plat, shoot me an address (if your Cont. US) and I'll pop a few in an envelope for you to try. No sense spending $4 shipping to try a few blades when they're $12-15 for 100.

Mighty cool of you; I assumed the yellow (Chrome Plat) because I'd never even heard of the Astors, hahaha.  There are some other blades I figure I can trial, so Try-a-Blade is still worth it for me, though I seriously appreciate the offer.

When people on the forums talk about Bic blades, they are definitely referring to the Bic Chrome Platinums. Fantastic blades when I tried them, years ago. I bought a boatload of Polsilvers, and I haven’t used them all up yet, so I haven’t used one in a long time, but I remember that I really liked them.
