A couple notes to who it may be helpful to including DanLaw and Dragonsbeard ...
First, another great shave today from earlier this afternoon and face feels good, the third pass may have been a bit much. Overall though, I am looking forward to more shaves with the razor. I got a message and want to clarify to people that may be a part of the pass around or are just following the thread. I signed up for this to try out the new razor and am thankful to have the chance to use and try it. Included on this pass around is samples of the Ethos shave soaps which I am very excited to use. Some may have seen that the two video posted above I am not using Ethos and I have my reasons I would like to share. Although I have been wet shaving and been in the hobby for a while, I slowed way down years ago with purchases and rotate my gear very little.
In regards to giving you guys the most useful comments and experience with the razor, I want to focus on the razor and use the other products that I know work the best for my skin. This is my way of limiting the variables and not using a new shave soap while reviewing a new safety razor. If anyone took the inclusion of other products I may have mentioned as promotion or advertisement of another brand, I can understand but it isn't the case. I emailed Frank over the weekend telling him that I am very excited to finally try some of his soaps and that I plan to start using them when I am done with the pass around. The idea was to be trying out Ethos with the hardware I know and won't be rotating gear while trying that out.
I wasn't aware of any expectation that I had to use the software provided while testing the razor. This isn't to sound ungrateful but the intention was to add my reviews in the Ethos thread and be able to give a more isolated review of just the soap. I really am excited to use Frank's products and would suggest if someone think's I am promoting SV, you are free to start looking from 5 years ago when that is about the time I started using it regularly. Again, I hope this is informative and if anyone has a comment to share or is insistent that I should or have to use the Ethos on the next shave, then comment or message me your thoughts. I'm not getting paid by anyone in shavedom for reviews or comments.

I understand where your coming from and when listening to your first review I was like I get that he feels more comfortable using a shave soap he knows well when using a brand new razor for the first time. On the 2nd review I was a little confused at first when you didn’t use my products as I was one of the 2 sponsors along with H&S. I didn’t feel like you were trying to promote SV cause that would be like giving you a Wolfman razor to review and instead you talked about a Gillette Tech you have in your den as an example. Then I thought about it and figured with the Corona 19 you may not feel comfortable using a shave soap that others have used and I’m like I get that as I’m a little weird about using a shave brush in a pass around virus or not. So honestly yes would I like feedback from folks as I’m always looking for that as Im always going to try and improve my products cause I’m built that way and it’s what I’ve been doing for a living for the past 27 years developing personal care products. So being relatively new in the shaving products business hearing from folks who use my products and let me know what they think about how they perform, smell etc is always welcome.
I remembered you had messaged me about wanting to try ETHOS so again at first I was a little confused as to why you choose not to until I gave it some thought and came to the conclusion like I mentioned that maybe you just didn’t feel comfortable using a pass around shave soap as it’s not like a razor which you can easily sterilize. So we’re all good!

Frank, I appreciate your response. Honestly, if someone felt like I shouldn't mention any other product in the next shave videos, I could respect that (i posted this vid in specific thread). I will say that the title for this video only included a mention of the razor. In regards your mention of maybe not wanting to use it (Ethos SS) because of current pandemic, that isn't the case either. I carefully took samples of the available soaps and again I thank you. Your contribution is very much appreciated and as a sponsor, it is nice for interested and potential future customers.
A polite thing to do Frank is to ask kindly if you can accept my review of your product when I am done with the current passarounds. Whether that can be posted in this thread or the Ethos thread, those would receive more or less the same video posting. Those videos will obviously be of some value to you Frank because I will be able to purely focus on those experiences. If I am coming across as passive, my apologies but I have had many interactions with soap makers giving them my feedback on how it works for me. I intend to do the same for you Frank.
Again, I'm trying to be above board with everyone reading. I am not a perfect person but I am nothing but grateful to be a part of the passaround and Danlaw has been very helpful with conducting everything. So if anyone is feeling like I am in debt to a contribution (review) for this thread, you are correct and I promise it is happening. Let me know if I am way off gentlemen. Cheers
