The same thing happened to me as well.  I bought Ousia II Aftershave from The Razor Company.  When it arrived, I could smell the leakage even before I opened the package.  The bottle did not seal properly and some aftershave leaked.  Because I likely used too much of this new aftershave product, it was sticky when applied (likely due to user error on my part).* I do have another aftershave product on order from Mohammed as I bought the L'Avventura set so I will see the condition of this new aftershave when it arrives.

I've had difficulty finding the appropriate restrictors and caps, but I think I've resolved it. The cap on your La'Aventura, which has been shipped via USPS, provides a superior protective seal.

Although the aftershave has been widely praised, I'm surprised by your disapproval. I understand that people have different skin types and moisturizing needs, and you're the first to express dissatisfaction. To address this, I suggest reducing the amount you apply. It's best to start with 1/4 of your usual quantity as the aftershave contains powerful ingredients that require only a small amount.

I'm eager to hear your feedback on using a lesser amount.

I do use a large amount. Given your response, I will reduce the amount I use and attribute my past experience to user error (on my part). The Grooming Dept soaps and pre-shaves products I have bought in the past couple of years have been among the very best I have ever encountered--absolutely top notch. I have edited my original post on this topic to more accurately reflect product quality.

Thank you for the compliments. I've always appreciated your support.

This aftershave is truly unique in the market. It not only creates a remarkable moisturizing effect with a small amount but also allows the fragrance to remain on the skin without causing any irritation. There is a reason why it took me 3 years to design Smile

I'm a big fan of Mo/GD and his shave soaps. His base is amongst the most efficacious I've used, and the scents are very high quality. I just took delivery and used this AM his new line of A/S's and specifically the Lavender variant. The efficacy of the formula is excellent. A little goes a long way, and it's highly moisturizing without being greasy or sticky. And the scent is sublime. If you like the smell of true French or English Lavender EO you'll love this...floral, slightly camphorous...just delightful all-natural Lavender fragrance. And it is present but not overwhelming, so it won't compete with your EDT/EDP/Fragrance if you use one.

I just used my set(Kairos SE) this morning too and was about to post... I can't add much to the above. I got the Lavender as well and I love it! My AS splash came with a pump top and since Mo mentioned using it with plenty of water, I used two pumps on my freshly rinsed face. It dried quickly and never got sticky.

Big ups to CA customers for posting your feedback. Thank you Smile

The Lavender Kairos SE jars are completely filled, with some containing nearly 6 ounces of soap. I'll share more information about the content of the jars in another post.

The Lavender scent composition featured in this release is truly captivating. I've obtained High Elevation and Maillette lavender varieties from the same French producers across several years of production, and each possesses a distinct aroma that sets it apart from the others.

The A/S is very interesting and I don't think there is anything else like it available. I didn't enjoy the initial gel-like feeling of the liquid on my face but when it dried it left my face feeling spectacular. The best part about alcohol bases A/S lotions is that first few seconds after applying it and then it's downhill from there. This Grooming Dept stuff is very different- I didn't get the initial satisfaction of alcohol but the best feels come later on- so requires a mental adjustment.
Mine came with a reducer- not a fan of it- really had to shake hard to get the product to come out. But, you don't need much anyway, and I could easily see someone applying way more than is needed. This is not your typical Pinaud product- this stuff is more about skin care than that that refreshing zing you get from alcohol- so YMMV.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback!

I agree completely that there is no other product on the market quite like the Grooming Dept alcohol-free aftershave. After spending countless hours reading and learning about the subject, I've made around 80 batches of the product over the course of three years.

As you mentioned, this aftershave is different from the typical alcohol-based products that are splashed on one's face. Instead, it focuses on skincare after using a shaving instrument. I don't have any issues with alcohol-based aftershaves, and I'm currently working on my own version that will be completely unique compared to the others on the market.

There have been some difficulties with the caps and bottles of the Grooming Dept aftershave, I personally prefer the pumps. However, due to some upcoming changes to the bottles, I'll be using reducers for the next few releases. I plan to switch back to pumps in the fall.
