I’m a huge fan of Grooming Dept.’s Mallard Base, I always get great results. ‘Almond Vanilla’ is one of my favorite scents from this last release, a beautiful all weather scent. I’ve been reaching for this one often, and am thoroughly enjoying it.

It pretty damned good, eh? Favour it too.

Hitherto, have found Mallard base less than compatible with the high heat and humidity encountered in Deep South Summers but the new formulation rinses clean while yet providing that amazing post shave.

Heads up. Pasteur pharmacy has a bunch of grooming dept stuff from the recent drop including kairos se soaps. It’s on their site. I went in to smell them and didn’t care for any of them but I haven’t found and gd soap scent I’m fond of so I’m the minority here. There’s only a few on the shelf so get it while you can

While not dismissing GD scents, let me state that the magic of the latest KSE and Mallard drops resides in the bases.

So even for those not fond of the scents, and am fond of most, these new bases should be in your rotation

Omnia and Ousia are both incredible scent accords. The Kairos SE base is quickly becoming my favorite. It checks all the boxes for me. Il
