Grooming Dept

I've been checking Pasteur. It's listed as a stockist on the GD site but nothing has shown up on the Pasteur website.  I'm hoping they get some of the mallards because the store is so close to me and I always enjoy sniffing as many soaps/aftershaves until I hit nasal overload.

BTW, update: Pasteur now has Mallard in stock and on its website.

Two back to back days of using Coconut Rum and really loving it.  Felt compelled to go to IB and order two more Mallards before they disappear.....

Coconut Rum and Strawberry Rhubarb are my 2 favorites of the new Mallards.

 Is the  Lemon  or lime very strong in the Strawberry Rhubarb one?

In case you missed it, Mohammad released two new soaps yesterday (Feb. 11) on the groomingdept.com web site.

One is the Nai base soap in the Vertu scent. Nai is a vegan base with superb performance.

The other is a special soap in a Kairos+Lamb Tallow+emu oil base. The scent is called Pasio'n with some really nice scent notes. This is a limited edition that is unlikely to be repeated. I have not tested the formula, but since Kairos and Lamb Tallow soaps are both included in my super-elite listing of soaps, I did not want to miss out on this opportunity. I placed my order as soon as it was released. With the edition of emu oil, I anticipate that the performance of this soap will elevate it into the short list of my very best soaps. I will post a review once it arrives. This soap will only be available on the web site. It will not be carried by vendors. Once it is sold out, it will be gone.

I concur with everything stated here. I ordered 2 tubs of each for those reasons!

I was one of the first to place my order, so I got a shipping notice as well.
However, that only means Mohammad has printed the shipping label.
You need to track the USPS tracking number to see when the post office accepts the package.
He might get the packages to the post office on Monday, but it might not be until Tuesday.

So now it is Superbowl Sunday (2/13) and both of the limited editions are still available on the Grooming Dept website. It was not so long ago that you had to log on immediately upon availability or miss out entirely. Despite my firm resolve not to buy any more soaps, I broke down and ordered the Pasion. In any case, I am very happy as I rotate through my Grooming Dept collection. Today it was Otium and what a nice soap that one is!

I asked Mohammad about this as I was surprised to see they were still available. He said that sales had been quite strong, but he made a ton of soaps, more than he used to be able to make. Thus, he will have some for a while.

Last year, he moved from his small apartment near San Francisco to a new home further north. He now has more space for storing supplies, making and curing soaps, and storing finished product. Last year, he was hampered with the stress of moving and he had health issues, some COVID related. Hopefully, this year will be better and we will see releases on a more regular basis. The big problems now are supply chain related. It is difficult to get some critical ingredients  and the price of many ingredients has gone up.

My 4 tubs are out for delivery today.
