Happy holidays.
Same to you! If you don’t mind me asking, what was your inspiration for the Ingress scent?

Does it smell like aventus? If so I'm all in.

This morning I tried my first GD soap: Cascade in the Lusso base. I loaded the soap for about 30s with a damp synthetic brush and then started face lathering, adding droplets of water on the brush as needed. I'm not sure I got the right water ratio but the lather reminded me of the one I get with Noble Otter soaps. Slickness was quite good though a tad below what I get with Barrister and Mann Glissant; again, probably I should have added a bit more water. This soap impressed me in terms of post-shave feeling: I didn't use any post-shave product (normally I use an unscented balm and an alcohol-based splash) but after 8 hours my face is still soft and moisturized. Last but not least, the scent of Cascade is extremely pleasant and I wish it was available in a post-shave product! ;-)

Overall, I'm very satisfied by my first experience with GD and I look forward to receiving my first order purchased directly from Mohammad, including Aion, the "famous" pre-shave, and the rejuvenating post-shave serum.

Thank for a detailed first impressions. I'm delighted you enjoyed Cascade. I recommend adding lots of water with GD soaps, even to the point of allowing the lather to fall apart to see how much water the soap can handle in your locale.

I have been recommending this video quite often lately. I hope you find it useful, his lather is exemplary Smile

It does! And it's as good as you think it would be from the House of Mo! Wink

Well....I just tried a test batch of the “Kairos” Mohammad kindly sent me....The Verdict? It’s simply OUTSTANDING! I gave it a hard test...no GD pre shave...no GD post shave serum...no finishing balm or splash...and I had gone 14 straight days without a shaving break...which is very atypical for me.. Plus..the dry, artificial heat at home during this time of year one needs in the Northeast U.S. is absolutely brutal on the skin. I used my usual hardware...a single edge, OneBlade Genesis 2. Also...I use only tallow soaps as I never, ever have tried a non-tallow that worked well for me. Got to tell you...I would have NEVER guessed Kairos was a non-tallow soap. NEVER! I thought the slickness, protection and cushioning were truly top of the line +. Post shave feel was off the charts. It’s rather soft...and loads...then lathers very easily. Produces a quite dense, very creamy lather. Plus...as I’m not a fan of heavy scents I truly enjoyed the much lighter scent...which he informed me was...Muguet...a light..very refreshing lily. Mo being Mo..he will probably be fine tuning and further optimizing this fantastic new soap base to make it even better....but...when he’s finally satisfied....you’re all in for a real treat!
