AION

I was finally able to use Aion for the first time.  As expected, the performance of this soap is exceptional.  I used Aion with no pre/post shave products.  In my opinion it in incrementally better than Grooming Departments other soap bases but not leaps and bounds better.  Of GD's recent releases I was most impressed "Soap" for it's performance, mainly slickness. Aion, IMO, is yet another improvement from Mo. The slickness was exceptional!  It may be the best slickness I have experienced with any soap yet!  Well done AGAIN Mo!  The post shave is fantastic.  My face feels better/differnet than with any other skin care product I have ever used.  I can't wait to see how this improves with continued use.

The scent of this soap is very nice to my nose.  I won't even try to break it into it's flavor components but it is a definite keeper for me.

Keep on innovating Mo!  I happy to be part of your journey.

Maleki and Melody, two new GD soaps, are now available on West Coast Shaving. I picked up both this morning.

Mo is scaring me. Made a comment about not wanting to match AS for specific scents. I have a tub of before the fire and incense and Rose I have been sitting on.

1) Anyone know what happened to the toner?  There was the last minute cancellation of the onsale and haven't heard a word since.

2) Saw Mo's comment on not doing matching AS on FB.  Shame really as I think a majority of his customers would LOVE matching AS and unfortunately some may start steering toward other artisan's that do (there is a reason all of the other top artisans do it!).

That's nothing new. The suggestion is to have soap and aftershave scents that compliment each other rather than be an exact match.

Just playing the other side here. That should be reason to go the other direction, that is to have an aftershave scent that compliments the soap while not being an exact copy. Over time I grow bored of having the same scent soap then AS on top. I have mixed things up using one soap scent and a non-exact match AS but that still pairs well and I like it better.

Yeah nothing new about him not wanting exact scents for soaps and aftershaves. I seem to remember reading his opinion on the matter a long time ago that he indicated he much prefers to layer complimentary but not identical scents.
