If it is not too personal, may I ask why the wait until December?  Perchance is it Movember related?
I decided to grow it till out till at least Thanksgiving and it happens to be Movember too. Longest i've gone without shaving is about 5-6 days. Today is day 7 so I want to see if I can do it.

Thx. Good luck!

First use of Aion this evening. From the first swirl of my brush during the lather build, I could tell that this was going to be a great soap. The lather was beautiful from a 20 second load with a 28mm Oumo SHD Hook Knot. The application of the lather really showed how luscious this soap is and the shave had the same protection and glide that is known for all of GD soaps. The difference is the post shave feel. This one is on a new level with that aspect. I decided to not use the Post Shave Serum to see how the after shave face feel was over a few hours. Whatever ingredients are in this particular formula gave me a very similar face feel to the Post Shave Serum. My shave consisted of the Paradigm SE with a Feather Super Blade. That razor combination always provides an extremely close smooth shave but this particular soap seems to have taken up the smoothness a bit. I’m impressed with this particular new formula. The next time I use it, I am going to use one of my most aggressive razors just to test the protection it gives. Anyway, bravo to Mo for constantly innovating! I call him the “Mad Genius” of this wet shaving industry and he always lives up to that moniker!!

I definitely need to try your soaps at some point, but I can't possibly get another full tub of soap that will just go to waste with my current lineup.

Hi mrdoug

I'm sorry, there are no samples available of this formula.

You gotta try the other formulae, Many people believe they're extraordinary Smile If you'd like, for the cost of shipping I'd be happy to send you 1.5 ounces of 3 other soap bases to try. If you're interested please send me a message at: sales@groomingdep.com.
The samples never arrived. Not certain what happened, but USPS still shows it in pre-shipment status (as of 10/14).

If something happened on your end, feel free to pull the shipment. I just went ahead and ordered a full tub of one of the recently in-stock soaps (ingress). It sounds like a scent I'd like. In the very least I'll get to try your soap base.

Thanks.

Received my tub of ingress...

Out of the tub I get a quite sweet cologne / perfume type scent. This is a busy soap with a.lot.going on. I can absolutely understand why people cannot describe the scent.

Can't wait to try it. It's up for tomorrow's shave.

Got my first shaving with Ingress...

I used my rockwell 6s on plate 4 (usually I go with plate 3, but I wanted to test this one, as it has quite the reputation)...

The smell of the puck was that of a sweet cologne. There was something a little gamey, which I presume is the tallow. I've smelled this before, especially in Mike's. Definitely not a big deal, the scent usually disappears in lathering. There was another scent, strong and pungent, like paint. Not certain what it was, but I'm sure part of it was the cologne mingling with something else. All of that said, it's actually a wonderful smell. It's a cologne smell, but not musky, with a fair amount of sweetness. My first thought was the 1990s.

I scooped some in the dish, and as I believe I said before, was shocked that this is a soft soap. I added water and whipped up what turned out to be a low structure, very slick lather. The first pass was fine, exactly what I expect from a good soap. By time I reach the third pass the I noticed that the lather was thinner / more translucent. I also noticed it was twice as slick as the first pass. As my third pass is ATG this was absolutely perfect.

In the end I rinsed, applied after shave, and was treated with a moisture rich and happy face.

I am impressed... Or at least I was until my 15yo. daughter told me it smelled like her friends cologne. Lol.
