I suggest Starting with a damp (not wet) face, Add droplets of water to to aid in forming a film. You'll know you added to much water if the preshave begins to bubble. The drying out is OK for those 30 seconds. The preshave will merge with the soap in your brush when face lathering. I hope this helps.

In the beginning of November when grooming dept was having all of the problems with production and deliveries I made a few posts complaining about the problem.
The end of Nov. I received my order.
Then I posted a picture of my soap (Tacit) that was already disappearing after very little use. About a week later grooming dept emailed me offering to replace the soap. I emailed back stating that the Tacit was too strong scented with tallow and to send me a lightly scented soap and I will pay the difference. He emailed me back saying he would send me a jar of Pekin.
I received the product a week later, with no extra charge.
In closing grooming dept is a stand up guy, and the Pekin is truly a unscented soap that works very well.

It's going to be Coattails Redux. It'll have identical scent ingredients arranged differently to produce a completely different scent from Coattails.

Coattails - Scent Notes: Saffron, Clove, Oud and Vetiver.
