I've used the pre-shave for a couple of shaves but I have yet to work it into the regular routine.  I have followed the instructions each time i've used the product.  But I noticed today that the product was becoming more "soapy" on my beard than it had the previous few times I used it.  I believe I used more water today than in the past which is what caused the "soapy" feel rather than a "film-like" product.  I will also say that the slickness wasn't as good today but, holy cow, the post-shave was fantastic!

So my question is when applying the pre-shave, should it have a more "soapy" consistency or more "film-like".  (I know my descriptions aren't scientific or well-worded, but I hope everyone understands what i mean)

What I do is rub it in till it becomes a thin, slippery film. You may have to add a few drops of water or a bit more product. Like soap..once you get it it down it will be easy to dial in..

Thanks frenchy...i was concerned i had added too much water which resulted in the soapy-like film. But by the time my 3rd pass came around, I could already tell the post-shave was going to be amazing. Again, that "high" on the post-shave came at the cost of some of the slickness.

I suggest less water so it can slightly adhere and form a film. You can introduce (recommended) additional water after the preshave merges with the soap in the brush.

West Coast Shaving will carry the preshave and serum. I hope I can convince Jared to make a youtube video of himself and Aviv slathering the preshave and give use a good demo Smile

I just got the corrected Patchouli & Mint Preshave labels. All orders which contain this preshave will ship tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

I think I'm struggling to dial-in the pre-shave...when I first rub it in it feels dry and sticky, so I add some water and it becomes soaplike with a slight slickness but still seems to dry out after rubbing it in or sitting on my face for ~30 seconds. Do I need to use more pre-shave?

Or do you think my issue is with dialing in the soap? I face lather so maybe all the brush work and water I try to add to the brush negates the pre-shave?

Are you applying to a wet face?

Are the unscented preshave and postshave serum actually in stock? Website indicates yes (add to cart vs sold out) but don’t want to check out only to find no stock available. Soap is clear prior to checkout if available or sold out

As a test I added both to cart and took it to the payment method screen and had no "sold out" issues.
