I'm so happy people like Mandarin Bay! I love the smell of Bay Rum, I just couldn't imagine pouring some on soap and calling it a day

Lemon Bay (a future surprise release) will be the last Bay Rum soap I make till Bay Rum becomes available in the market again.

Hi Mohammad.  Could you please clarify what a "surprise release" is?  Will notice be posted in your "New Releases And Restock Announcements" thread?  Also, will there be any advance notice, and if so, can you tell us how much?

Nevertheless, I'd still appreciate an answer, and - no disrespect intended to you - but I think Mohammad can provide the answer better than you can .   My view is that as a consumer of GDept products, it is reasonable to want to be very clear about what to expect. So I think my questions are reasonable - I am quite sincere in asking them - and I'd still appreciate a clear answer from he alone who knows the answer.

If anyone can take away your joy, it will be Mohammad, and not me.  At any rate, I have no desire to take your joy away.  I just want my question answered.  That is what forums are for, and we ask different questions because we have different viewpoints and concerns.  So you won't get any apology for me because I don't owe you one, and I won't take a pass because a pass isn't called for.  

And to be precise, I did not demand anything.  I asked Mohammad to clarify the process.  If he thinks it best to have flash sales - or whatever the right term is - that pop up unannounced, then he will have them, and that's that.  Some of his customers - ones who have been loyal to him, ones who have schedules that might have been rearranged, who need to review budgets, or who want to think over what they buy - will be put off, and that will be tough for them.  But who cares?  They can buy at other sales, right?  As long as your joy is not taken away, it's all okay.

jaxstraww I use Noble Otter's Bare. I tried Maol Grooming's Marlogue, but i lost the nuances of Chypre Conifere to the woods in Marlogue. YMMV, but when using an unscented AS, I find I can smell the scent the soap (at least GD's soap) leaves on me throughout the day. Of course, I'd buy a Chypre Conifere aftershave in a heartbeat.

FYI, I have been hit by a car when I was teen, the car wheels rolled over me a couple of times! I walked away with just scratches. I was hit by a bus in Chicago while riding a bike. I had 1 head-on collision with a car in Chicago loop area, and one head-on collision with another cyclist on Chicago's gold coast while cycling (I was checking out a woman jogger and didn't pay attention to traffic). Plus 6 more cycling crashes over a period of 12 years!
