I thought that was it! Nice!! Man, I had a wild hair and pulled out an older synthetic brush that I have collecting dust and I was surprised at how well it did. Still can’t compare to my 2 band badger Manchurian brushes though!

I like the scent. Yes, it's a part animal and is not your typical soap scent. More so when smelling direct from the tub. If you've tried B&M valentine's day soap, Night Music, then you know what I mean. After lathering, I detect a powdery scent among the jasmine and civet. Scent is medium (my definition of medium) like the other GD soaps I've tried. I think this base is very good. I am still working on perfecting Janus, but Lusso was very good with the first shave.

Mail call!!

This Lusso base Jasmine and Civit is much firmer than the Chypre Vert Lusso base. My Chypre Vert is almost a cream.

My fears of the civit being gross were way overblown; the scent I get is a very nice powdery floral. If anyone was on the fence because of the animalic civit scent and you like Jasmine, I recommend you give it a try.

gregcss I'm glad you like the soap. Thank you. Mimosa is the contributor of the powdery feel, it's soft and comforting.

Spot on A. Feitar the civet note is way in the back, but you know it's there Smile Though, the jasmine, the florals and incense dominate .

Now all I want to make is floral scents Wink

Hello Lusso.  It's so nice to see you again!

I just had an incredible shave tonight with Jasmine & Civet - a fun, skin-friendly BBS (including GDept pre and post).  I have nothing to add about the scent except that I like it.  I will add that the performance is superb - as expected.  Shave details here.

Hey Mo, when is the Lemon Bay going to be released? I think Mandarin Bay is my all time favorite soap.

I received Pekin today and used it. I was very impressed with the thick, slick lather. Great work!

1. Shipping label (order # 2741) on 19.01. printed - since then no change.
2. I am an international customer and the problem is the missing declaration of the ingredients of the serum. Trouble with carrier - unknown liquid without declaration. Waiver of purchase is not an option.

How's the performance of the Vegan base and how does it compare to the Tallow ones?

Thanks.
