Citric pairs really nicely with Chatillon Lux Fourth and Pine Aftershave. Nice job Mo.

The Mandarin Bay got here yesterday, and I was able to shave with it, and I've got to hand it to Mohammad-what a great soap with a really nice scent. The cardamom in it is present and very pleasant.

The performance of the soap paired with the pre shave is just superb. I was fortunate enough to have tested a sample of an early version of the pre shave, and the released version is an improvement. I was concerned about whether the pre shave would affect the glide factor of the soap, and it simply doesn't. The combination provided a beautiful lather, easy shaving with a straight, and a post-shave feel that is fantastic.

Bravo!

A question I think many are pondering, how strong is the scent on the pre-shave and does it interfere/alter the scent of the soap? I purchased the unscented pre-shave for fear of too much different scent going on at once.

Look forward to your input Michael.

I will comment on the performance later, but the answer to your question - no, at least lavender pre-shave didn't interfere with the scent of my Cella lather today.

Rich, I can't answer your question yet, as the pre shave I used was Mandarin based, as was the soap, so they got on quite well.

I can say that the scent was mild in the jar, and also mild when the pre shave was massaged into the face.

I got two other scented pre shaves-I missed out on the unscented somehow-and I'm going to experiment with them. Lavender is in a lot of soaps, and I think the Mandarin should go well with any soaps that have bergamot in them, so those shouldn't be an issue.

But I'm going to experiment with a combination that shouldn't go together. I'm thinking of using the Cedarwood and Lime with a tobacco scented soap to see if the scents conflict during the shave and afterwards.

If I had to guess, I'm thinking that the scents are mild enough that they won't interfere, but I'm speculating. Will keep you posted.

Michael P @"iamsms" are spot on. The scents on the preshaves and the serums shouldn't interfere with other scents. Scents ratios are extremely low, they're mainly there to hide the natural smell of the oils and the shea butter. Many people don't find the natural smell of oils and butters attractive or interesting.
