I lucked out and got mine 45 minutes after the release time. I spaced out and had work meetings..

Will Dapper Mallard and Mallard Fougere be released before or after the major release on 4/29?

Glorious maiden voyage this morning with Grooming Dept Soap. It is uncanny good!  Walked away with a bloodless BBS and no post required except the residual lather.

Mail call:  I just received my order of GD Barbershop.  I did a test lather and found it to be a very thirsty soap. It produced a very slick and shiny lather that was dense and peaky. The scent to my nose is like a combination of Kolnisch and Chypre Vert. Off the lather, I smell lots of lemon then cedar and musk. I would have given it a different name; it is citrusy like Citric and not a classic barbershop like Maggards London Barbershop or Stirling’s Barbershop.

 It is nice and I look forward to shaving with it in the morning.

I also received Barbershop today (three days from purchase to delivery on the East Coast). The scent off the puck is both pleasant and intriguing to my nose. I’ll test lather it tonight and shave with it tomorrow.

A lovely shave with Barbershop this morning.  I did the lather/rinse/air-dry routine during cleanup, and that is all I needed.  

Like A. Feitar, I find Barbershop to be very thirsty.

Barbershop, An Afterthought

I shaved early this morning, ate breakfast, walked the dogs, cleaned up, and went to church.  When I got back home and stepped into the bathroom, it took a few seconds to realize that the lovely citrusy smell was the lingering bouquet of Barbershop.
