He sent out an email with specific instructions on his products if you ordered them. He has sent them out several times in the past but the email he sent today came late this afternoon, I think.

Greetings,

Thank you for your recent purchase of my latest soaps Mallard Rose Chai and Molten. This Mallard is better in performance than the previous Mallard releases, by a mile, enjoy Smile

Since most of the orders were from new customers, I thought I’d bring up my suggestions on how to care for Grooming Dept soaps.

Please don't bloom the soaps.

I suggest lathering off the jar for maximum surface area.

The soaps like lots of water, more water than most soaps. Please try to bring the lather to a breaking point so you can find out based on your water what the optimal ratio is.

When finished shaving, place the remaining lather from the brush and/or a lathering vessel and place it on one's face while cleaning up.

After washing the lather, I suggest not using any type of clothes or towels to dry one's face. If you can, let the water dry on it's own. The humectant ingredients I use like to trap water (moisture) within the epidermis.

Let the soaps air out for 24-48 hours. The scents are resilient and won't fade out.

Use the soap on many consecutive days to notice a very nice accumulative effect from the ingredients

Best,
Mohammad Abed.

I received and test lathered Molten. Off the puck, I get a resemblance to Copenhagen but much more complex (I suck at scent descriptions).  I test lathered and did get much more sweet smells. As expected, a very small amount yielded an absolute TON of lather with took a TON of water. Very nice as expected. I lathered up my face and hands before sending it down the drain. I am liking the scent much more off of my face and hands than I did before. Very nice. The scent is already winning me over.

As for the Mallard Rose Chai, can't wait to shave with it tomorrow. Loving the scent!

I can’t wait to get my Mallard ‘Rose Chai’, the scent description sounds heavenly to me. Mohammad’s Mallard creations in the past have been some of my favorites as far as performance goes, if this Mallard is going to be an improvement I can’t wait!

I think you’ll be impressed hunter. It’s the best mallard iteration yet.

George, thank you for posting the soap instructions. First had seen those.

Mo,
Is this particular mallard formula greatly improved over the last release of Pekin? Have to comment, thought the base better than the original - not sure greatly improved but definitely noticably so.
