It is a very popular scent.

I just received my order of Molten and Rose Chai. Both smell wonderful. Kudos to Mo for getting these out without delay or drama.

The Rose Chai smells like what you would expect if Incense and Rose had a love child with the earlier version of Mallard Chai. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold out. Go grab one if you haven’t already.

Molten has a spicy sweet citrus scent with some smokiness from the Birch Tar and warmth from the vanilla/malt.

With GD scents I either love them or hate them; there is no middle ground for me. I love these two releases.

Can’t wait to shave tomorrow morning! Which one first?

Before anyone judges Molten I highly recommend getting some water in it and lathering it. Changes it dramatically

I was really thinking about doing that tonight just to see what it’s like. How do you like it after lather? I am extremely intrigued by what I smelled when I opened it.

The notes of milk and sugar have made me doubt, how sweet/cloying is the scent?

It isn’t cloying to my nose. It blends nicely. I can’t make out the individual milk and sugar scents.

I just test lathered Molten. You are right; the scent is very different lathered than what I smelled off the puck. It took an incredible amount of water as I built the test lather.

Then, it seems pretty safe. Thank you.

I just test lathered Molton too.  If you got Mohammad's instructions, follow them!  I loaded for 30 seconds and wound up with a ton of lather.  I tested the lather periodically, and it does indeed take a lot of water.  The lather was very slick and held water after 5 minutes on my arm and cheek (my typical test).  I mean very slick.

I always encourage people to take my scent comments with a grain of salt.  That said, I did not particularly care for the scent, but I don't know what to compare it to. Regardless, the scent won't stop me from shaving with Molten, and I doubt it will take much away from the experience for me.
