I think the Serum is worth buying. While expensive, you need very little each day. I would expect a bottle to last several months. I have used it the past week and barely seen the level in the bottle drop. It is an oil so you need very little to smear on the skin and it absorbs quickly.

Exactly! Worth every cent. The scented versions btw are very, very lightly scented. Maybe a 1 or 2/10. Don’t interfere at all with the scent of the soap. The cumulative impact of the combination of GD pre shave, soap and post shave has been incredible for my skin. Never had better shaves or as soft and supple skin.

Does it help with post shave irritation?  That is the biggest opportunity for improvement

Mo had suggested, immediately prior to Enzo sabotaging, that eliminate all other steps:

Post shave wash with phisoDerm
Wipe down with alum
Spray with witch hazel

and simply do 6 drops on wet face followed by 1,5 minutes rubbing in then application of ABC balm - that's it.  So want to try to eliminate all these steps if possible

Absolutely would HAVE to be unscented primarily for allergic reactions (skin is THAT bad)

For me it does. And I very have sensitive skin which usually suffers from razor burn. I use the post....rub it in and then a light coat of Trufitt&Hill balm. I think it’s a combination of the GD pre..soap...and post that has the most impact. I also totally stopped using Witch Hazel and that helped a lot. My only prep is a hot shower then wetting the face prior to applying the pre shave. That said...all skins are different. This works great for me though..YMMV...

Had an outstanding Shave today with Grooming Dept ‘Mandarin Bay’. I’m loving this scent, and the performance is awesome. I can’t wait to add the Pre Shave and the Post Shave to the mix to see how it affects the Shave!

DanLaw, I can't help answer your question as I haven't tried the post-shave serum. But I had to log in and just say...that is one good-looking mutt you got there Happy2

Everybody loves Enzo - runs all over town with me.  There isn't a woman that doesn't love on him at every encounter and people yell out their cars greeting him - local celebrity.  Good boy and very athletic but a serum spilling SOB  Haha  He can be a handful but love him as a son

Here is Enzo with his runt brother - Duc'e (terribly abused prior to being rescued literally looked like death camp survivor when got him 6 pounds then now nearly 12)

It is interesting to compare notes. My routine on a good day is to leave the unused lather on my face while cleaning up, rinse it off with minimal warm water, and apply the Rejuvenating Serum while the skin is still a bit moist. I sometimes apply Witch Hazel w/ Aloe after the warm water, either because the day was not so good, or as a preventative. The last thing I do is apply an EDT, cologne, or perfume for fragrance - and mostly not on shaved skin.

I have been successfully refraining from the many aftershaves I own and love, most of which have alcohol and some of have menthol, but I don't see that lasting forever. I'm not sure at what point in the process I would apply them.

Just to be thorough in describing routine, always leave a layer of soap on as cleaning up then rinse with cold water prior to aforementioned steps.
