Go to Pomade?

I always have three or four different hair products sitting on my counter. My problem is once my hair reaches a certain length the current product I am using no longer works how I want it to. The ones I am using now are Prospectors Iron Ore, Billy Jealousy Slush Fund and american Crew Forming Cream. The prospectors is really nice. Pleasant scent and great hold but it is a little tough to work through my hair. I plan on getting some Shear Revival stuff soon. People rave about their stuff and they are local to me.

Recently picked up a new pomade in an Italian Barber order & I'm really enjoying it. Layrite Cement give me a strong hold without being shiny, doesn't leave my hair crunchy & it washes out easily.

My Barber used Cement last time I got a cut- I like it too and as soon as my tub of Layrite Firm is gone, plan on picking some up. Good stuff!

This sounds intriguing. I'll have to try this when my O'Doud's is gone.

O'Doud's Heavy and Water based all the way! Depending on the weather, what I'm doing for the day, and how i feel determines which one I use. Both hold my long, thick but thin strand hair in a nice tight and high pomp. I have a collection of various pomades from Uppercut Deluxe, Reuzel, Rumble 59, Cock Grease, Murray's, Prospector's (not a fan, all underperform) and more... all (but Prospector's) do the job but O'Doud's takes the cake because it is natural and washes out easily whether oil based or water based.

The Shear Revival Crystal Lake is excellent for my purposes. It controls my hair without any stiffness, heaviness or crunchiness, feels quite natural. The scent isn't great, but doesn't stick around so that is not a problem. It is a step up for me from my previous hair products: Railcar and American Crew Fiber.

Little late but on the counter right now are Anchors Teddy Boy Original,O'Douds Water Based,Suavecito Firme and Original and their Premium Blend which is a oil based pomade but acts like a water base.Teddy Boy gets the most use followed by O'Douds or Suavecito Premium since my hair is short right now,when I let my hair go for a while I use the other Suavecito(Firme&Original)it tends to dry hard though.

I am all about the American crew pomade. I wish I could find something with the same performance but for a lower price. Stuff is expensive

Coming in late to this conversation, I decided to let my buzz cut grow out, but needed something to control my thin (and thinning) hair. Tried a gel, but was not at all happy with it. So after some research, I decided to try the Old Spice pomade. I understand that some don't care for it, but it seems to work well for me.
