I am a big fan of Gingers Garden. I have several of her shaving soaps, shaving creams and aftershaves. All are great, IMO. Very good scents. She will make custom scents fior you as well (if you cannot find what you want from her already incredibly long stock scent list).
With respect to her aftershaves, someone mentioned above that they go on tacky. In my experience, they just need to be rubbed in as they have way more viscosity and moisture than a typical splash. If you just pat or wipe it on, then it will stay tacky; if you rub it in just a little bit, my experience is that your face will feel smooth, not tacky and well hydrated regardless of season.
As someone stated abive, her standard shave soap is not a melt and pour (although she offers that glycerin type of soap too).
With respect to her shaving cream, this is a true very soft cream--not a croap.
A very underrated wet shave artisan in my book.
