Spoilers are super smooth shavers and they live a long life. Sometimes 10 shaves.

I had a really great BBS shave this morning using the Gillette Stainless loaded into the ikon #102 slant - it was a really nice combination. Used the OSP bay rum soap and finished with Dominca Bay Rum AS. The Gillette Stainless is an excellent blade. Thanks for making me aware of them.
Cheers,
Mark

The Vintage Gillette Stainless lasted me 4 shaves before it started to feel not so smooth. I'm going to try a Gillette Platinum that I got from Try A Blade tomorrow morning.

If you're looking for a US vendor, I stock them. Otherwise you can find them on eBay sometimes, and from Tierra Santa Shaving online in Israel.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this but here goes, I see on your site you stock my new favorite blade, the Gillette Platinum. I was curious if you sold them by the 100 or just by the pack. Thanks for your time.

The shave with the Platinum blade was smooth, but not as smooth as the shaves as I recieved from the Vintage Stainless Steel blade. When I used it it felt like there was no blade in my Red Tip Gillette but the stubble just vanished with each stroke of the razor.

I had forgotten that I had ordered a stainless with my last batch from tryablade. So this morning I decided to christen my new to me Aristocrat with the stainless. It really gave a nice, smooth, close, shave. There was no irritation. A very enjoyable blade to say the least. Might be ordering some from you here soon Gareth. By the way I really appreciate the speed with which you sent out the Satin Tip brush that I ordered the other day. Thanks!

To clear up some confusion here, the "vintage" Gillette was the Super Stainless, aka the "Spoiler".  Here's the history:

http://spoilerchronicles.blogspot.com/20...oiler.html

Gillette in Russia today makes a 7 O'Clock Super Stainless that is a superb blade as well:

The blade that is the subject of this thread however is just the plainly named Gillette Stainless. A different blade:

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
