A clue may be the fact that the PPI Gillette Rubie Plus blade (formerly called Rubie Platinum Plus) is the most expensive blade marketed by Gillette and not commonly seen for sale in the USA. I bought 200 from Russia a few years back after trying a sample tuck and IMO it is the best blade they make and the successor to the "Golden Age" Platinum Plus blade. It is IMO more heavily coated and built for duration as well as the perfect combo of sharpness/smoothness. Of course, as with any blade you must determine the right razor for it. For example, for me Israeli Personna blades work better in say a Schick Krona than in a Gillette Tech. Something to do with the hone angle and razor "sweet spot" I'm sure. The Rubie is simply divine in a Gillette Tech however. Even then, no blade is perfect for everyone and a person has to objectively try all the top tier blades using their razor lineup combined with great prep and a top shelf soap/cream to know. Just my 2 cents.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.” “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
