Gillette 1951 Aristocrat W1 Presentation Razor Trick it out or restore it?

To say they're striking doesn't begin to do them justice. Looking at the Aristocrat, it's like stepping back in time and seeing it for the first time.  Enjoy these two beauties.

So, I decided to go the restoration route with both the Aristocrat and the Fatboy.  I don't have them in my hands yet but I received word this afternoon that they're done and on their way.  Here's some pictures that Chris at RazorPlate sent me.  All I can say is, Oh my goodness, these babies look nice!  kwsher Freddy and DavidJames what do you think?  I'll provide some more images once I actually receive the razors.  You can probably tell that I stuck with gold for the aristo but went black rhodium on the Fatty.  I like it.

I thought I'd re-post these before pictures as a reminder of what the starting point was - I feel honoured to be able to restore these beauties to their original state and I feel blessed to that we have people like Chris at RazorPlate and CAP who have the skill and passion to execute the restorations.

Thanks John, I'm not sure if you saw the razors in their intermediate, stripped down state so here they are - stripped down before cleaning and after cleaning.  The third picture is of the new end cap soldered on to the aristocrat.  The fatboy was pretty grungy.
