Great find!  I don't have such luck :Tongue Yup, gotta check each setting to feel for what you like the best!  As long as it works properly and gives a great shave I'd pay little attention to how it works, but that's me personally :Smile

I've always believed that the history of things is important. With so many vintage razors we know there is a history but often have no connection to what it is. In this case it's even better because you know a bit of where it came from. Added to that is the generosity of the gift, from someone directly connected to its history. It makes that one, a special razor. Use it in good health. The Slims are great.

Totally agree!  These razors are our history, they pre-date a lot of what we are using today.  You look at this Gillette and look at an TTO razor made today, same mechanical working, as far as I can tell.  Personally I'm not sure if Gillette started the whole TTO open thing, but the point remains, it's part of the history of this hobby.  I picked up a Gillette Blue Tip off of Ebay and now a GEM SE razor as well, while both I will take care of, of course, they have no personal past, no connections to anything beyond me buying it from some faceless persona on Ebay.  However, that said, now I can start my own connections to the blade Wink
