I got all my Micromatics left to the original brass and cleaned occasionally. I use Dawn soak and a soft toothbrush and later add the soapy water and some vinegar into an ultrasonic cleaner for a couple of minutes. Good as new.

Good to know im gonna look those cleaner . Do they work for all razor . Nickle plated etc?

If there is severe brassing on your nickle plating, it might remove more nickle, but if the nickle is still intact, it'll work well.. Do NOT try this on gold plating or gold wash because it will damage it real easy.

The twist mechanism grind and i cannot take that knob off and when i have the cap open the knot inside look black , any suggestion how to take that apart to clean it?

I used clipper oil just a few drop amd started to rotate the knob a few times . Black oil startes to come out of the handle . Now its good .

Yes i polish more and it solid brass very clean looks good . Im gonna leave it like that . Its in very good condition
