These look awesome! I REALLY love the first one that you changed from black handle to that nice but vintage looking cream handle.

I can kind of figure our how you sand back and restore the wood handle parts. But how do you restore the plastic / rubber / bakelite parts. Especially without destroying the engraving?

Finished up this beauty this morning. Had my doubts when I got it but some TLC cleaned her up and brought her back nicely. Not a color you come across often so very tempted to keep this one in the den. The struggles of restoration lol.

Thank you for all the kind words. To some extent it's same process with a few extra steps for the bakelite and plastic, just much more time consuming.

Doing some much needed house and auto work on my staycation but making sure to squeeze in some brush time here and there. In limbo ATM waiting on some knots to arrive for a customer so took a moment to finish up one for myself. Just set a Shaveforge silvertip knot on this Tripoli. I chose teal for the lettering over the stock black and feel it really stands out in a good way. Gonna let it set and look forward to it's first run Saturday morning.

Probably one of the toughest restos I've done so far. Just set the knot and letting it dry. This was one that was included in a lot of handles I was sent to restore. I had to complete sand it down and had to get creative on the top trim piece but all in all I think think it turned out pretty good.

Holy Moly!! Love the retro look of this one. Kinda Art Deco-esque.

Finally finished up a group of handles I was sent to restore. The white and black one I already shared. Had to do some custom work such as the metal accent ring on the clear lucite handle and the plastic ring on the white and black handle.

Some of the handles were hollow once the old knot was removed requiring me to build a platform in the handles that would allow a place for the new knots to rest and be remain should the knot be removed for another. The multicolor handle was coated in a polymer in and out to prevent further cracking, making it solid and good as new. Big thank you to CMC Grooming Products for giving me the opportunity.
