Looking forward to pairing these with my Unscented GD and WK Soaps, and the Pure Lavender with my B&M Reserve Lavender as well. Can’t wait!

You know, there are other wives out there....Big Grin I'm kidding obviously but unless my wife takes a strong dislike to something I like then she has to deal with it. I do acknowledge the value of maintaining peace in the valley but so far I've been fortunate that my wife's reactions have ranged from indifferent to actually liking most of the things I enjoy.

I've always felt like that was a cop out when people say that. "Oh, my wife doesn't like it so I have to let it go." Especially if it's a soap. 9 times out of 10 the soap scent is completely gone when you rinse it off of your face. If you don't like a scent, just man up and say so. If it's a scent I like there's no way I'm getting rid of it if my wife doesn't. I just won't shave with it on the weekends.

wyze0ne “a cop out”? “Just man up”? What’s with the antagonistic comments? Just being your usual positive self? I’ve got no problem saying when I don’t like a scent or anything else for that matter. Like I said in my post, my wife doesn’t like it. If that’s not good enough for you, then that’s your problem. Not only did I purchase the CDL soap, but I purchased the Aftershave and matching EdP as well. I’d say that would last longer than just my shave, wouldn’t you? That’s your business if you don’t want to stop using a scent your wife doesn’t like, just as it’s mine if I choose to wear a scent that my wife enjoys instead of one she doesn’t. How it’s any of your business or why you would care is beyond me. There are a multitude of scents out there that my wife and I both enjoy, so I count myself lucky. Feel free to keep all your negative BS comments to yourself.

I've got about 200 soaps, creams and aftershaves. When I finish shaving and put on my clothes before I go to work, I always give my wife a hug and a kiss in the morning. The only two comments I've received over the last four or five years have been about Tabac and the Veg. She loves Tabac, and had me have give a bottle to each of our grown boys for Christmas a few years ago. The Veg she claims smells like "powdered cow patty." (I only use it when I know I can escape before she wakes up.) Everything else is safe territory. I think I'll keep her.

Plus, perhaps her sniffer and mine are limited, but it's really hard to smell any soap/cream 30 seconds after rinsing my face, and perhaps two minutes to sniff the scent of most of my aftershaves (of course, in the latter category there are a few exceptions). When I read posts about spouses not liking a scent, I always think, "Wow! I wish I could smell that well!"

I'm really looking forward to picking up my Fourth & Pine aftershave and cologne at the office tomorrow.

I wish I had a better sniffer as well. My wife’s nose became extra sensitive after she had our kids and now some things bother her that didn’t in the past (her feet also grew half a size much to her dismay). Hormones are a crazy thing. I also wonder how much my job in the Fire Service for the last twenty years has affected my sense of smell, I can’t imagine it’s had a positive impact. My wife can smell a dirty diaper across our living room, where as sometimes I can’t smell one when it’s right beside me. Blessing and a Curse I guess.

I just had to try one spray of the Fourth & Pine cologne this morning. I'm going to enjoy this scent very much, all day every day, on my Hawaii vacation next week.

TheHunter, no, I will not keep my comments to myself. I will speak my mind whether or not you think it's negative or "antagonistic". Which it wasn't. I never mentioned any names or called anybody out. While I may have painted with a broad brush, I do believe some people do use their wives as an excuse to sell stuff. Which I don't understand, because nothing requires you to say why you're selling something. If the potential buyer is curious they'll ask. Anyway, feel free to put me on your ignore list if you don't like what I have to say.

wyze0ne why don’t you man up and own your post? You posted directly under my post and referenced the very thing I was talking about. “Broad brush strokes”, you’re not fooling anyone. And your post was negative and antagonistic, you in so many words called me a liar and told me I needed to man up. And now your back peddling. Par for the course though, you’re the same guy to tell someone you bought them knee pads off of Amazon when they were singing the praises of Wolfman Razors and it was too much for your liking. Anyone that’s been at DFS for any amount of time knows how you treat people. You’re the one that always has a condescending or sarcastic reply. If they’re new here a simple search of your posts and people can see for themselves. Do the same for my posts and see which one of us is trying to be a good member of the community and who isn’t. My post was regarding the products on this merchants page, yours was just a backhanded personal attack. Great idea with the ignore list consider it done.

Awesome, glad to hear it! Also, I couldn't think of a better place for that bright citrus scent than Hawaii. Have a good trip!

That is a straight up lie. I never said that. I would appreciate it if you stop telling lies about me. I believe this is the thread you were referencing if you care to read through it again.

Ironically, you and I were the only ones to "like" the post you thought I wrote. Isn't that something?
