I'm sportin' Catalan Prairie aftershave today. Any plans to bring it back, Shawn?

Probably not. When we did it last year, it sat on the shelves forever. I love florals, but I've learned that in the shaving world, outside of rose and lavender, florals just don't sell very well. Although the minority of us who love floral scents are very ardent in our love, and I think that's awesome. We just need more of us Smile

That's a shame, Shawn.  I not only enjoy rose and lavender but lilac and violet (today's soap and EdT scent of choice) as well as blends, which is why the Fourth & Pine Cologne looks so intriguing.  The combination of citrus and floral really caught my eye.

Also, I saw that you are bringing out Colonia Balsamica Eau de Toilette and Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli Eau de Toilette on the same day (4 May).  I want it all. Big Grin

It is definitely more citrus than floral, but it is one of my favorite combos, too. I do especially love violet, as well. And of course, iris, the official flower of St. Louis (and future Scent Notes subject).

And if you want it all, then I guess I'm doing my job Wink

I splashed on some Catalan's Prairie this past weekend also. That and Vide Poche are really nice florals.

I too am looking forward to future releases of your fine products. Don't let Freddy have it all! Big Grin

The story:

Johann Farina is widely regarded as one of the patriarchs of the fragrance world. His classic combination, the original eau de cologne, is still as relevant today as it was over three centuries ago. Years after it was created, it was carried at Clamorgan's, a premier bathhouse and gentlemen's grooming salon that attended to local luminaries like Ulysses S. Grant.

The Clamorgan brothers were the mixed-race sons of Henry Clamorgan, one of the titans in St. Louis' early history who fell in a woman who he was not legally allowed to marry. Despite their second-rate status, they provided the highest level of luxury and carried the finest grooming products in their renowned store, including Farina's Eau de Cologne. This scent is not intended to replicate that master's work, but to provide a new take on it. One that pays homage to the Clamorgan's ability to thrive despite the high hurdles put in front of their success.

Pure Lavender

Available in aftershave, toner, salve and shaving soap, this is a blend of four different lavenders, including one that is grown, harvested and extracted locally in Saint Louis.

Lavender is my favorite note in shavedom so definitely will be picking this up. Might as well get 4th and Pine while I’m at it.

Quick update: Pure Lavender will be running through June 9, so we will do our best to ensure that it stays in stock from Saturday until then.

How is it going to different from Champs de Lavande?

Champs de Lavande has lavender and a bunch of supporting notes. Pure Lavender is just lavender. People wanted a lavender that want peppery or earthy, so I listened and gave the people what they wanted Smile
