Thanksgiving Shave
[Image: bjM46QN.jpg]

Good day today. Had the grandson and his parents over for the feast.
I made my patented candied yams and garlic mashed taters. The wife likes to do Cornish game hens instead of Turkey. She also made a pretty dang skippy chocolate mocha layer cake from scratch.
The shave with the Nano razor was nice. Tried out the Schick blades I got from my buddy MaineYooper. Nice blade but one little fiddly thing is it requires you to trim off a sliver on both ends of the blade. Or else the Schick blade stays bowed and can’t float on the catches that lock it into place.
Hope you all had good food and better company today.

Last couple of shaves.

Second use of the Nano with a Schick P30 blade. Was a bit rough on the neck area. Have switch from the 2 dot to the 1dot plate to see how that works for me.
Hope you guys are all ready for Monday.

Monday’s Shave with the Temperite Razor was a standard nice affair. The Sudsy Soapery Cola created a great protective lather.
Tabac Tuesday’s shave was interesting. I switched to the one dot plate on the Nano. The Schick blade with three shaves on it did a nice job. No irritation or nicks. But it is now very mild and non efficient. Lots of extra work to get good results. No biggie but a few thousandths more blade exposure would be the ticket. As there is no 1-1/2 dot plate. It looks like for me the Schick blades are not the “perfect” blade in the Nano. Very good but not wow. The feather standard blade with the two dot worked well. As I rarely use my SE and DE razors. This magazine of Schicks will probably last me years.
Fluffy Industries is firing up the oven and trying some new bread recipes. And the brush division has a new model in the works. Stay tuned for the Hexagon Edition.
Hope you guys have a good Wednesday.

Good shave after a productive day.
Finished painting the living room.
Bread came out well. And since the oven was already hot. Decided to make some chocolate chip muffins. Hope you all had a good hump day.

Nano Razor 1dot plate. Schick P30 Blade(4)
Omega Boar Brush
DR Harris Arlington Soap
Lustray Coachman

May have to recant my former report on the 1dot plate. I revisited the razor unchanged. And this shave was nice. Had to pay a little more attention to the angle. As the smaller blade exposure. Has a narrower effective window.
Also ordered two Oumo boar knots for some brush projects.
Ready for the weekend. Hope you guys are too.

Which knots did you go with? I am thinking of getting a couple as well. And you got me interested in the Nano. Going to check that out!

Can you tell me about the Omega used? If you already did, I will search for it. Oh heck, I'll search anyway!

Found a post where you named the brush and gave some details, like a long break in period.

Good write up!

Hey Eric. The Omega is a 10098 if memory serves.  I do believe it was a while before it broke in.
If you want to give the Nano a test run. I can send it up to you.

The Oumo knots that looked good to me were the 24X79mm bulb knots.
Have a good weekend buddy.
Let me know about the Nano.

Fluffy, that is a very nice offer. Let me sleep on it, but I will probably say Yes! Thanks, bud!
