Wow time flies. Been two days since getting settled in back at Casa Fluffy.
Wife got discharged Tuesday afternoon. Right on schedule. So far, knock on wood no hiccups.  She is doing very well. Each successive day she is improving her mobility and speed getting around.  While she doesn't have the same guy mentality of "being tough" as we do.  She is doing better than she has in past post surgery experiences.
There is a set timeline for when we can add things to her new diet. And today we can add some new items that should be more palatable than the last three days.
One day at a time is the most appropriate phrase at the moment. And once again my experience in the military has paid huge dividends. Having the ability to function on little sleep and adapt to the situation. And remain calm and focused throughout. The result of my training carries over to things like this and gives me the perspective to deal with what comes up.
I mean she (wife) can be demanding and formidable. But she ain't no Sgt. Hiles. (Sr. Drill Instructor, Ft. Benning GA circa 1987)

I’m glad everything went well with your wife’s surgery and I’m sure she is in good hands now for her recovery at home. Did you give her a little bell at her bedside to summon you or one of those air horns?

Glad to hear that things are going well! As so many tell me, remember to take care of yourself, too, in order to keep helping her the best you can!

Nice shave. Settling into a routine here. Small steps forward with the wife’s recovery. It’s difficult for her to deal with adversity. Trying to keep her spirits up. And keep her on track with her new dietary needs.
Hanging in there. Hope you guys are ready for the weekend.
