Nice early afternoon shave today. Had a dentist appointment, so took the day off. Once that was done. Tinkered a little bit in the Fluffy Industries workshop. Hope you all have a great weekend.

First shave OREN
Tabac Tuesday

Been looking at these things for a while now. Posted here in the BST and jhinson1  offered one up. So now I get to check it out. And see if it's up to my expectations.
First impression. It feels nice in my hand. Decent weight to it. But lighter than I thought it would be. Easy to pop the blade in by hand. Have a couple sample blades to try. Went with a Schick P30 for the first run. Pretty easy to get the angle correct. Blade feel with the 2dot head feels good. Wouldn't want it to be milder. It does let the blade "float". Probably helps prevent you from using too much pressure.
Result easy comfortable two pass shave. Very little irritation. I like it. One caveat to the shave is. That the blade did not feel like a new blade. Felt like a blade that had a few shaves on it already. I am attributing that to the sampler blade being sent in a envelope. Which may have resulted in the edge being slightly affected. Not upset. But have read in post here and elsewhere of that phenomena. My schick injector blades were sharp and smooth. Coming in the factory magazine. I would bet the P-30's in the original container would be better.
Have two feather blades to try and a Kai. The feathers are more prevalent/easier to get. So if I like one of them that is prolly what I will spring for a box of.
Hope you guys are ready for Wednesday.

The Prolines are normally hard to get to sit correctly as they are slightly different and the razor was designed for the feathers. I never could get my Prolines to sit right. Nice outing with it Ken.

Wednesday's Shave.

Second go round with the Oren. This time with a Feather Professional installed. Another easy two pass shave. This blade did a nice job. Will probably stick with it to see how many comfortable shaves it provides. Going to mix the Oren in with my straights.  It's a nice razor. I like the build simplicity and the look of it. And will keep it. Will it replace my straights, fatboy or shick stick? No.  It'll join them however.
Hope you guys had a good day.

Thursday and Friday shaves.
Good to get back to my 14's.

Shave #3 with the Oren Nano Razor and the second with the Feather Pro blade in it. Quick and easy process. But this time had a few weepers in the "neckle" area. Got a little careless.
I'm liking it. I have made a hanger for it on the shave den shelf. Kind of like giving an animal a name. Now I have to keep it.
Hope you all made it to the weekend in good shape. Thoughts going out to Tim. Hang in there buddy.
