The debut of the much anticipated Fluffy Industries Brush. I decided to hold the fittings together with brass screws instead of sweating them. Two reasons it can be easily disassembled. And I think the contrasting metals add an extra bit of flair.  It was a fun project. But made me wish I had not given up my baby metal lathe.  The cutting edge use of internal rare earth magnets in the base of the handle. Allow it to be utilized with the Fluffy Industries "Magic Brush Rack System" TM, Pat Pending.
Being the prolific artisan that I am. After redefining what shave brushes can be. I also baked some home made chocolate chip cookies. Which I am about to enjoy for dessert.

The cookies did turn out pretty skippy. 

I love it! The Copper Edition has a Steampunk vibe to it. The contrast in metals helps. And magnetic fields between handle base and rack is, as the Guinness ads said, Genius! Even more Steampunk. Well done. And chocolate chip cookies. Hardcore, man, hard-core!

Excellent question John.
Tried a new recipe for “soft” ones. May have baked them 1-2mins too long. They looked too “blonde” so I added time. They are good but not great.

Very busy shave related day, today. Three new arrivals were delivered today.  Two Gold Dollar 1996's and a Boker Red Injun squarepoint. 


So the hones got broke out. And the three newbies were given some Shogun TLC.  
First the Red Injun was polished up a little bit. It has a few blemishes that are going to be left alone and called "character". Getting them out would require sanding and removing a few thousandths of metal. Which on the extra hollow grind may ruin the integrity of the blade.  The edge was in good shape and a standard refresh got it popping hairs. 
Next the two Gold Dollars. Got them because of the red scales. Plus the shoulderless grind. These two examples are nicely finished to half hollow. And sit flat on the hones.  And one of them was able to cut arm hair a few mm's off the skin. I was tempted to strop it and shave just to see. But decided against it. 
Test shave using both were fair. One was a bit tuggy at the toe. The other was equally sharp it's whole edge. Neither were 100% Shogun. So they will get taken back to the hones. 
I agree with Dave in KY brushes should not shed hairs. But razors should help you comfortably shed your unwanted hair. 
Time will tell if the 1996's make the grade in my rotation.
